One Piece 1080 Recap: What is the true identity of Tenguyama Hitetsu?
The episode starts with the Five Elders being angry about the new bounty poster of Monkey D. Luffy. The Five Elders were enraged after seeing that the new bounty poster of Luffy was in his Gear 5 form, and the World Government even forgot to remove the letter D in the name.
The Five Elders instructed the World Government to reprint the Bounty Posters immediately. Still, they were not able to contact the printing company.
“Big News” Morgans, the president of the World Economy News Paper and one of the Emperors of the Underworld, is continuously printing the new Bounty Posters of Monkey D. Luffy and distributing them to the whole world.
He states that CP0 infiltrated the Land of Wano, and their last transmission said that Big Mom’s ship was there. We then see everyone getting news about the defeat of Emperors of the Sea, Kaidoand Big Mom. It didn’t take long before such massive news spread across the world.
We also see Sabo’s huge portrait on an island where the newspapers were circulated. The three pirate captains who took down the two Emperors who reigned over the sea for decades are Eustass “Captain” Kid, Trafalgar D. Water Law and Monkey D. Luffy.
The Government has placed an excessive bounty of Three Billion Berries on each. Kid and Law’s crew were shocked to hear the new bounties of the captains, but Eustass “Captain” Kid was annoyed after reading the newspaper and went to see someone.
Killer explains that they have a new emperor of the sea, and Kid is upset because of that. Killer tells everyone that there is a banquet in the capital, and everyone gets ready to celebrate their victory.
Chefs inside the Land of Wano are preparing a delicious meal for their honourable guests. Still, everyone except Jimbe could not wait two hours for the dishes to be ready and went ahead to enjoy the festival.
Inside the Flower Capital, Luffy is enjoying the festival along with Chopper and Yamato. They try a lot of dishes like Chocolate Bananas, Fired Noodles, Octopus Balls, Grilled Squid, Cotton Candy, Candy Apples, etc.
They enjoyed everything as all the food was free inside the capital that day. Then they try a few games like Target-Shooting, where Luffy uses “Gum-Gum Target-Shooting” to hit the target instead of the bullets.
They also try Fish-Catching, where Yamato breaks her net, but Chopper can catch two fish easily. Brook and Princess Hiyori play Oden’s favourite song, “Moon Princess”, for the whole crowd.
Nico Robin reaches a basement where she finds a Ponegliff. Tenguyama Hitetsu also follows her to the basement, showing her his Kokeshi Doll Collection. Robin claims that Tenguyama Hitetsu is more than a Swordsmith since his collections were in that basement.
Tenguyama Hitetsu then reveals that he is Kozuki Sukiyaki, the former Shogun of the Land of Wano and father of Kozuki Oden.
Robin inquires if Momonouske knows about it. Shuiyaki replies that he has no intention of telling Momonouske the truth. However, the retainers might have figured it out themselves. Kozuki Shuiyaki was the one who let Orochi take over the Land of Wano.
When Shuiyaki broke free, Oden was dead, and the Land of Wano was changed entirely. Robin then inquires about the Ancient Weapon, Pluton, inside the Land of Wano.
Robin already knew about it as it was written on the Ponegliff in the Kingdom of Alabasta. Kozuki Shuiyaki is shocked to hear that from Robin and confirms that the Ancient Weapon Pluton is in the Land of Wano.
Inside the Former Excavation Labour Camp, Udon, where King, Queen and other members of the Beast Pirate were resent, Admiral Ryokugyu arrives and asks them for some booze.
Queen attacks Admiral Ryokugyu with his laser beam, but Admiral Ryokugyu dodges it easily. Admiral Ryokugyu tells them to stop as there is not much they can do with their mortally injured bodies.

Admiral Ryokugyu then starts attacking everyone inside the Former Excavation Labour Camp, Udon, with the help of the vines that grew out of his hands. These vines sucked all the bodies of Kaido’s men dry and left them wrinkled.
Admiral Ryokugyu then starts attacking King and Queen. They both try to dodge Admiral Ryokugyu’s attacks. Still, they don’t stand a chance in front of the might of a Navy Admiral and are left wrinkled due to Admiral Ryokugyu’s vines.
Admiral Ryokugyu then drinks some booze that was kept nearby. He then calls the Navy and tells them to send one warship to the Land of Wano. Also, he instructs them not to tell Sakazuki about it.
Inside the Flower Capital, Luffy toasts in front of everyone in honour of Ninja, Pirates, Minks and samurai, the King’s Retainers, Yakuza and the Land of Wano.
In a flashback scene, after defeating Kaido, we see Luffy telling Momonouske and Yamato not to tell the Land of Wano about him because it’d make him a hero. Luffy claims that everyone is waiting for Momonouske.
He will make this Country where people can eat and drink as much as they want every day, and they don’t need to be afraid of guys like Kaido, and every day is fun.
Therefore, Momonouske should become a respectable Shogun and make everyone’s dream come true. The Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance won, and that was good enough for Luffy.
In the present, Eustass “Captain” Kid rushes towards Luffy to pick a fight with him, but Luffy grabs Kid with his hands, wraps him around his arms and gives him a cup of sake for the toast.
Suddenly, fireworks lit up the whole Land of Wano, and everyone was enjoying those fireworks, visible from every side of the Country. Everyone is happy inside the Land of Wano and is celebrating their victory over Kaidoand Orochiafter twenty years of oppression and slavery.
Eustass “Captain” Kid tells Luffy not to get him involved in all this celebration. Kid tells Luffy that he doesn’t know what’s happening overseas, but he tells Luffy to look at the newspaper and that Kid is there to get rid of Luffy.
Luffy then sees the newspaper and is shocked to see the news. Eustass “Captain” Kid came to Luffy, looking upset for an apparent reason. It is a sign of the end of the old regime and the beginning of a new era.
Admiral Ryokugyu also moves towards the Flower Capital to confront Luffy and his crew. He determines to bleed all the pirates dry, which are present inside the Land of Wano.
