Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 29 Recap: Can a World with no Cursed Spirits be achieved?

The timeline of Episode 29 of Jujutsu Kaisen is August 2007, One Year after the death of Riko Amanai, the Star Plasma Vessel for Master Tengen.
We see Gojo experimenting with his cursed techniques while telling Shoko Ieiri and Suguru Geto about the progress he has made within a year.
Gojo explains that he wants to keep his Limitless Cursed Technique active with minimal resources.
Shoko argues that keeping it active all the time will burn Gojo’s brain, but Gojo tells Shoko that as long as it is within the range, the Reverse Cursed Technique will continue to operate; therefore, the fresh brain will be delivered anytime.
Gojo has also perfected the shortcut hand signs, Red and Azure Glow.
He has also mastered multiple simultaneous activations of both these hand signs. Gojo’s next task will be Domain Expansion and Long-Distance Teleportation.
After listening to all this, Geto thinks that Gojo has become the strongest and can complete all tasks by himself.
Shoko doesn’t go out on dangerous missions therefore Geto ended up spending more time alone.
Geto then reveals that he has been very busy this summer as he has been repeating the same task of exorcising and absorbing Cursed Spirits.
We also see that Geto is still haunted by Riko’s death and blames himself for not being able to save her.
After that, we see Yu Haibara, one of Geto’s juniors, greeting him, and they both talk about their Jujutsu Experiences. Haibara tells Geto that he is soon going on a new mission.
Their chat is interrupted by a woman who asks Geto about the type of woman he likes. Geto asks her who she is, but Haibara replies that he likes girls who eat a lot. After that, Haibara leaves the both of them, and Geto asks the woman again about her identity.

The woman reveals that she is Yuki Tsukumo, a Special Frade Sorcerer. In the current timeline of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuki Tsukumo is one of the three Special Grade Sorcerers alive, including Yuta Okkotsu and Gojo Satoru.
Geto recognises her as the one who never takes on missions despite being Special Grade, the waste who is always idling abroad. Yuki explains that her ideas conflict with that of the Jujutsu Society. Yuki tells Geto that she does not want to hunt Cursed Spirits but wants to create a world where Cursed Spirits will never exist.
Yuki asks Geto what Cursed Spirits are, to which Geto explains that they are accumulations of humans’ cursed energy that has seeped out and solidified. Yuki then tells Geto that there are two ways to create a world where Cursed Spirits do not exist. The first one is to erase all humans’ Cursed Energy.
The second is to make all humans able to control their Cursed Energy. Yuki thinks that the first one is a good idea, and there’s even an example. Yuki gives an example of Toji Zenin.
Yuki explains that she has seen many cases where Heavenly Restriction made people become almost like normal people, but Toji was the only one in the world who had no Cursed Energy at all. Even though Toji Zenin had no Cursed Energy, he could recognise Cursed Spirits with his five senses and even gained resistance to curses.
Yuki tells Geto that she wanted to study him, but she was unable to do it, and there are very few samples of Heavenly Restriction; therefore, she turned her focus to the second method – to make all humans control Cursed Energy. Yuki further explains that Jujutsu Sorcerers don’t produce Cursed Spirits.
It excludes the situation where sorcerers become Cursed Spirits after death. Compared to non-sorcerers, sorcerers leak very little Cursed Energy. They have to consider the Cursed Energy consumption for using techniques and the difference in capacity, but the most crucial part is circulation.
A sorcerer’s Cursed Energy circulates continuously within the body. In conclusion, if all humans become Jujutsu Sorcerers, then Cursed Spirits will not be produced. After hearing all this, Geto states that in that case, they can eliminate all the non-sorcerers.
Yuki tells Getot that his idea is feasible and is probably the simplest method, but unfortunately, she is not that crazy yet. Geto reveals that he is unable to distinguish between the dignity of the weak and the ugliness of the weak.
Yuki tells Geto that neither is his true thought, as they are just possibilities that Geto have thought of. Geto’s choice is to make one of them his true thought.
After that, we see Yuki taking her leave while telling Geto that there was another Star Plasma Vessel that was born and that Master Tengen is stable now.
Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 29 Ending Explained: Why did Geto turn Evil?

We then see that Yu Haibara died on a mission because they thought the mission was to defeat a Grade 2 Curse, but it turned out to be a Grade 1 Curse. Geto wonders what if, at the end of all this, there are mountains of bodies of his friends. We then see Geto in his hometown asking why two innocent girls were inside a cell.
His parents explain that those two caused a series of incidents. The other villagers were not able to understand that those two girls just had surplus uncontrolled Cursed Energy, and because they were treating those girls like this, it resulted in the occurrence of more Cursed Spirits.
Geto had already defeated the Cursed Spirits, but the villagers were still blaming those two little girls for all the misshappening in the village.
Geto becomes infuriated by the act of those villagers and finally decides to look down on the non-sorcerers and get rid of them for good. After that, Geto destroys his whole village, including his parents and fleas.
We see Gojo reading the report of the incident where Suguru Geto is sentenced to death by the Jujutsu Society. Gojo is shocked to hear about this incident and is not able to believe that his best friend did this.
After that, Geto meets up with Shoko Ieiri and tells Shoko that he wants to create a world only for Jujutsu Sorcerers. Shoko then calls Gojo and tells him that Geto is with her. Later we see Gojo meeting Geto and asking for an explanation. Geto tells him that he already heard it from Shoko.
Gojo states that he thought Geto didn’t want to commit pointless murders. Gojo is referring to the time when Geto stopped him from murdering all the people happy about Riko’s death. Gojo tells Geto that his goal is impossible but Geto tells him that if it was Gojo, he could do it.
Gojo can do it, but he is trying to convince others that it’s absolutely unachievable. Geto asks Gojo if he is the strongest for being Satoru Gojo or if he is Satoru Gojo for being the strongest. With that, Geto leave.
Gojo tries to stop Geto by attacking him but is unable to attack his best friend. After that, Geto takes over the Star Religious Group and kills anyone who opposes him.
Gojo meets up with Megumi Fushiguro, son of Toji Fushiguro. Gojo then explains to Megumi that his father comes from a sorcerer family called Zenin, but he himself was unbelievably useless. Later his father ran from home and gave birth to Megumi. Gojo tells Megumi that he should be able to see Cursed Spirits and also have Cursed Energy.
He should also have noticed his own Cursed Technique, as most people notice their own Cursed Technique at the age of four or six. Gojo further tells Megumi that he is his father’s ace to deal with the Zenin Family.
As Gojo is about to tell Megumi that Gojo killed his father, Megumi stops him and says that he does not care what his father is doing or where he is. Gojo is surprised by Megumi’s intellect and maturity.
Gojo asks if Megumi wants to go to the Zenin Family. Megumi asks what will happen to his sister Tsumiki if that happens and if she will be happy. Gojo points out that it will not happen and tells Megumi to leave the rest to him.
The timeline of the series shifts to October 19, 2018, the current timeline of the Jujutsu Kaisen story where Yuji Itadori, the protagonist, is Sukuna’s vessel. We see Gojo waking up from his sleep, and his students, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki, are in front of him, waiting for their next mission.
