The 2020 premiere of “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” never presented a reason not to like it.
We still fawn over the balcony scene since it was so much fun.
If someone defends you that way, it is worth risking your life.
We enjoyed it so much because of how crazy Lee Yeon was.
He was both endearing and terrifying because of all the love and responsibility moderated by eternity’s quirkiness.
In addition, after seeing him play the vegetarian Grim Reaper in “Goblin,” we were completely enamoured with him. We were eager for the sequel for this reason.
Simply because it is set in a time before 2020, when the original story took place, does not imply that it is a prequel.
But getting back to the subject, we only desired additional exposure to Lee Dong Wook. Nobody performs annoyed charm as well as he does, and his red hair colour enhances his nice looks.
“Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938″‘s first episode introduces the characters while paying homage to Lee Yeon’s followers.

Tale Of The Nine-Tailed: 1938 K-Drama Season 1 Episode 1 Ending Explained

Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) is watching for his one true love to return.
He fell in love, and to get A Eum back, he traded his status.
The query is when. Only time can tell whether Lee Yeon will find her among the ladies he encounters. No wimp, Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah).
She didn’t hesitate to challenge Lee Yeon.
She wasn’t afraid to address the fox living in her home.
She didn’t hold back as she prepared the ground for Lee Yeon to deliver the note to her house.
She wasn’t timid when she purposefully fell off the balcony hoping that Lee Yeon would save her.
She injected Lee Yeon without hesitation. The actual plot was engaging.
However, ignoring the similarities between Goblin and Alchemy of Souls was impossible.
Instead of combining romance with fantasy, 1938 shakes things up with a delightful, exciting journey that transports us to an entirely different era and seems much more focused on a previous historical fantasy adventure.
So far, the outcome has been an entertaining and delightful first chapter.
Of course, there are still many unanswered questions in this situation, such as the possibility of time travel and what it means for Yeon to have communicated with his younger self.
If you give it too much thought, that feels like a major headache trigger!
