In the second episode of Shark Tank Season 2, we have seen a total of 3 pitches and here are the offers given by the Sharks on those.

Very Much Indian

The first pitch of episode 3 starts with Slony Gambhir, her husband, who pitched about hand-made sarees from their websites.

Slony Gambhir is the brand’s founder.

After she had worked in corporate for 10 years after her B.Tech and MBA studies, she decided to start this Very Much Indian with her husband.

Very Much Indian sells authentic sarees such as Paithani sarees, Ikkal and Khun, Tussar and Dupion Silk, Bandhani etc.

The duo pitched for 50 lakhs for 3% equity, but Namita and Aman invested in the company for 50 lakhs for 10% equity.

Watchout

Abhishek Baheti and his nephew Divyajeet pitched their product about smartwatches exclusively designed for children.

The Smartwatch consist of SIM and can make video and audio calls.

These smartwatches can operate without a phone and help children make video calls and audio calls to their parents at any time if they encounter any danger.

Abhishek’s motivation for creating such brands came when he lost his niece and grandfather in a tragic fire.

The tragedy inspired him to create a brand that can help children and older adults monitor their activities, location and even accidents.

Abhishek closed the deal for Rs 1 crore for 10% of the equity and 1 crore for 15% debt, and he got the offers from Anupam and Vineeta Singh.

SoupX

The next company was SoupX which makes tasty, healthy soups with sides for healthy India.

Their ask was 75 lakhs for 6% equity.

The pitch soon turned into a disaster as the Sharks were upset because the Entrepreneurs didn’t know the nutritional value of their products.

Uttam Kumar and Priyank Jain, the co-founder of SoupX, asked 75 lakhs for 6% equity, but no Sharks were ready to invest in them.

Still, after listening to their hustle and moonlighting story, Vinita decided to invest in the entrepreneurs.

She took a risk by investing 50 lakhs for 20% equity and 25 lakhs as debt for a 12% interest rate.
