Jeffrey Dahmer is one of the most notorious serial killers in American history, as portrayed by Evan Peters in the Netflix crime thriller Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
Jeffrey was responsible for committing 17 murders between 1978 till 1991, and he was also involved in necrophilia and cannibalism.
During his confession, Jeffrey also confessed to the above and also stated that he used to reserve his victim’s body parts as a souvenir.
Jeffrey was known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, as he also practised cannibalism on a few of his victims.
Although people initially thought Jeffrey was suffering from STPD and severe mental disorders, he was found to be clinically sane, as showcased in the series; during his trial, he stated the following to the judge.
“It was never a case of trying to get free. I had never wanted freedom. Frankly, I wanted death for myself. This was a case to tell the world that I did what I did not for hatred; I hated no one. Jeffrey was sentenced to a sixteenth term of life imprisonment in 1994, equivalent to 999 years and in the same year, he was killed by Christopher J. Scarver Sr in jail.
While he was cleaning the weight room, Scarver attacked him from behind. After that, he beat Jeffry to death with a 20-inch metal bar.
