Confirmed: TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game) is coming in 2023.
The game was already in the works for some time, as reported by MediaScrolls earlier.
Now the marketing executive of Paramount, Lucy Dixon, has also confirmed about same.
In Toy World magazine’s September issue, the Paramount executive revealed the Studio’s interest and further investment in developing the AAA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game.
The developers of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were earlier rumoured to be Rocksteady Studios, the same Studio that had developed games such as the Arkham Batman series (Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Knight, Batman: Arkham VR), Urban Chaos: Riot Response, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
It was rumoured around 2021 that they were developing the new TMNT game, but recently the Studio disproved the rumours.
That being said, a new TMNT game with such open-world elements will be much more appropriate for an AAA game, so a developer like Insomniac Games would be great.
At the same time, the much-awaited Gotham Knight by WB Games Montréal is set to be released on October 25th 2022.
The Studio had also developed games such as Batman: Arkham City – Armoured Edition, Batman: Arkham Origins and the upcoming most awaited Gotham Knight.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Paramount Studios chose WB Games Montréal to develop the new TMNT game.
We would only have to wait and watch what the Studio has in store for us.
