A Recap of Only Murders In The Building Season 2 Episode 4: Who is Lucy? How Do They Get The Murder Weapon?
Only Murders In The Building Season 2 Episode 4 has been titled “Here’s Looking At You”.
At the beginning of Only Murders In The Building Season 2 Episode 4, we find, in a flashback sequence, Charles and Lucy cheerfully singing a song together in the former’s kitchen. The two were obviously having a great time, and the beautiful chemistry between them was evident.
In the following sequence, we find Lucy, who is a teenager now, sitting in some dark, weird place, recording herself and saying something about how returning to some place after a long time can be weird.
Later, we see Charles on the sets of his new series Brazzos. He is a bit shocked to find that not only is his character suffering from dementia but is wheelchair bound as well.
Elsewhere, we find Oliver bumping into Teddy Dimas in the elevator. Teddy is freshly out of prison, and from the looks of it, he is eager to get revenge on Oliver.
Lucy, who has a key to Charles’ apartment, has helped herself into the apartment, and Charles is evidently not too happy to see her. She has luggage and says she is here for the weekend.
The duo of Oliver and Mabel arrive there, and Oliver tells them about the warning that Theo gave him at the elevator.
This is when Lucy finds a blood-stained knife on the knife stand. The trio wonder how clues related to Bunny Folger’s murder keep popping up at his apartment.
Suddenly the doorbell rings and Howard enters the apartment. He is there to tell them that his cat did not cause the scar on his face, but Nina had punched him, suggesting that Nina has a violent streak in her and can be the murderer.
In the meantime, Lucy has uncovered a secret passage behind the cabinet in the bathroom and shows the same to the trio. They enter the passageway and discover that it connects all the building apartments.
They also discover that through this passageway, all the apartments can be spied upon through certain peepholes.
Lucy seems to know a lot about the secret passage as she mentions that she used to play hide and seek with a kid across the hall when she used to live in Charles’ apartment as a child.
Lucy also says that this is the place from where the clues came popping up in Charles’ apartment.
Charles and Mabel peep into Nina’s apartment and find that she has been planning to cut a deal to install a giant space pod at the top of Arconia, which Bunny would have opposed.
All this while, Oliver goes to spy on Teddy and, hoping to find some evidence, starts taking a video.
Instead, in Teddy, Oliver finds a helpless father who is sobbing inconsolably after an altercation with his son Theo.
The trio of Charles, Mabel and Oliver go to Nina’s apartment to charge her. A heavily pregnant Nina panics, and her water breaks. Charles tries to comfort her, and later, she is taken to the hospital by the medics.
Mabel later tells Lucy that she needs to be honest with Charles and tell him the truth about her visit.
Only Murders In The Building Season 2 Episode 4 Ending Explained: Why Does Lucy Come Back To Arconia? Does Lucy Know Who Killed Bunny?
At the end of Only Murders In The Building Season 2 Episode 4, we also witness a father-son moment between Oliver and his son Will. Will has been assigned to direct a play at his kid’s school, and Oliver arrives to help him.
Charles asks Lucy to leave as he doesn’t want her to be involved in a murder investigation.
Lucy tells Charles that she has had five fathers, and he is her favourite. She also says that her mom doesn’t want to see her after she skipped her mom’s wedding.
Lucy reveals that she was at Arconia the night Charles was arrested. She had sent a message to Charles, but it seems that Charles was too preoccupied with his celebrations with Oliver and Mabel on solving the Tim Kono murder case.
Lucy went to the secret passageway and recorded herself wondering how she felt about returning.
Lucy then hears the sounds of a scuffle from Bunny’s apartment. Sensing someone’s presence in the passageway, the killer comes looking, but Lucy manages to hide.
Charles later finds some calls from an unknown caller. He then goes to the prison where he meets Jan and, addressing her as the unknown caller, says he needs her help!
