Is Temp V deadly? and What are the side effects of Temp V in The Boys?
But before explaining that first, let us explain what is Temp V? and Who created Temp V?
Temp V or Compound V.24, aka Temporary Compound V, has been showcased in The Boys series as a substitute for the original Compound V.
Created by Vought International scientists, The Temp V can give any normal human being abilities like Supes.
Vought built this Temp V to sell it to US armed forces so that their defence could be strong as well, and there won’t be any loss of lives in the military.
When Temp V was tested at the labs, it failed some trials and tests, and because the product had some complications, Vought CEO Stan Edger stopped it from flowing into the market, and he told the R&D team to work on fixing these implications and deliver a final product.

While that was underway, we saw that Queen Maeve first handed over a vile of the Temp V product to Billy Butcher for the Russia mission, and from there, it flowed to Hughie.
In The Boys Season 3 Episode 7, we see that Kimiko wanted her powers back; hence, she told Starlight to go to the Vought tower to get some compound V for her.
So that it can be injected into her body again and she can get her Supe abilities back.
So to help Kimiko, Annie went to the Vought tower and sneaked into the lab to steal some compound V. While stealing, she also noticed the Temp Vs.
Then a report by one of the scientists caught her attention on the side effects of Temp V? So what are these side effects? Is Temp V deadly? and if so, how deadly is it?
Let us find the answers below.
Is Temp V deadly? and What are the side effects of Temp V in The Boys?
Yes! Temp V is deadly, and it can potentially kill a person who is using it.
While stealing some Compound V from the lab, one of the reports related to the side effects of Temp V/Temporary V caught Annie’s attention.
As per the reports, 5 to 6 times usage of the Temp V can cause malignant tumours, a disease in which abnormal cells split uncontrollably and destroy body tissue.

As per the reports, if Temp V is used between 5-6 dosages in one’s body, then a person may have the deadly disease.
Although Hughie didn’t have the tumour or anything in the comics, neither did Billy, but as the series has some creative differences, we are not sure whether they will have a malignant tumour for the heavy usage of Temp V.
Only the next episode of The Boys would be able to shed some more light on this.
