Itadori Yuji, the main protagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen, might soon absorb all of Sukuna’s fingers.
If that happens, Sukuna will be back at his full power and become the strongest curse in the entire world.
The King of Curses is powerful enough to annihilate all the jujutsu sorcerers in the world.
Only the strongest, Gojo Satoru, might have a chance against Sukuna, and needless to say, it will be a tough fight.
But before jumping into that, let’s look at the details below. How many fingers has Itadori eaten? Is it all the 20 fingers?
Till then, let’s check how many fingers Itadori has eaten now, according to the Manga.
How many of Sukuna’s fingers have Itadori Yuji eaten in Jujutsu Kaisen?
So How many fingers did Itadori eat? According to the latest chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga, Itadori has eaten a total of 15 fingers out of 20.
Thus only five of Sukuna’s fingers remain until he gets his full strength.
Itadori had gradually consumed 5 fingers at the start, one after the other.
This helped him to control Sukuna as he grew stronger slowly.
But later on, he consumed 10 more of Sukuna’s fingers at the same time.
This resulted in a sudden increase in Sukuna’s strength, and Itadori lost control.
In the Shibuya Arc of the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga, Sukuna overtook Itadori’s body and lost control.
He unleashed hell and destroyed everything in sight.
During the same arc, Nanami also lost his life in Sukuna’s rampage.
Also, Kugisaki Nobara suffered many injuries. It is hard to tell if she would survive the incident.
After this incident, Itadori is convinced that he should die and take Sukuna with him for the betterment of the world.
He could then free the world from the evil powers of Ryomen Sukuna.
But we don’t know how the series will end yet.
Do you think Itadori will eat the remaining 5 fingers, and Sukuna will revive at his full strength?
If so, what would happen then? Let us know what you think about this in the comments below.
Why didn’t the Jujutsu Soccer destroy all of Sukuna’s fingers? and What Gojo is planning on doing with Itadori.
Sukuna’s fingers are special-grade curse objects.
The most interesting thing about special-grade curse objects is that they cannot be destroyed with jujutsu; they are indestructible.
Hence the only way the fingers or the special-grade cursed objects can be destroyed is if a vessel (Itadori) can consume all of Sukuna’s fingers, and after that, if they are killed, then along with them, Sukuna’s fingers will be destroyed as well.
Hence when Itadori consumed Sukuna’s fingers which was by itself a big achievement as any normal human being without curse energy, even a sorcerer consumes any one of Sukuna’s fingers, then they mostly die instantly, but somehow we see Itaodri Yuji managed to survive and had already eaten 15 out of 20 fingers of Sukuna.
Gojo certainly noticed the boy’s potential; hence Gojo plans to first let Itadori consume all of the 20 fingers of Sukuna; then they will probably kill him because if Itadori as a vessel of Sukuna dies after consuming all of Sukuna’s fingers, then all 20 fingers will cease to exist as well.
What do Sukuna’s fingers taste like?
As per an interview by Gege Akutami, the manga artist for Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna’s fingers almost tastes like wax or soap.
After Sukuna’s death, he eventually became a cursed spirit, and his curse was too powerful to be destroyed.
Therefore his body was preserved in grave wax, and his remains of 20 indestructible fingers transited the ages as special-grade cursed objects, ever growing in power.
So when Itadori consumed Sukuna’s fingers, it tasted similar to wax or soap because it had been coated with grave wax for ages.
What grade Jujutsu Sorcerer is Itadori Yuji?
Itadori is currently ranked 4th-grade Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Though he is a vessel for the strongest special grade curse Ryomen Sukuna, Itadori himself is at the lowest stage yet.
Itadori lacks experience and the ability to make rational decisions during a fight.
His resolve and physical strength are undoubtedly the strongest, but that alone is not enough to fight a special-grade curse.
In the Jujutsu world, the grade of a sorcerer is determined through a system of recommendation.
The more the sorcerer performs better, the higher people recommend him/her, and thus the probability of their level increasing becomes higher.
The person also recommending matters as a 1st-grade Jujutsu Sorcerer’s recommendation would hold more value than that of any 3rd or 2nd-grade Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Itadori would face a hard time levelling up because the higher-ups at Jujutsu High are determined to execute him.
They have been refrained because of Gojo Satoru, the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer in the world.
If not for Gojo, Itadori would have been long dead by now.
Since the high-class members of the Jujutsu society are against him, he would have a hard time getting a proper recommendation to become a high-grade sorcerer.
Is Itadori a special-grade sorcerer?
No, Itadori is not a special-grade Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Even though he is a vessel for the special grade curse Ryomen Sukuna, he cannot harness his powers on his own.
Despite this, Gojo Satoru sees great potential in Itadori Yuji and considers him among his three students, who he believes could surpass him in the long run.
Itadori Yuji, Yota Okkotsu, and Kinji Hakari are the only three students that Gojo Satoru is very proud of, and they can surpass him to become stronger than the most powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer of all time.
So even if Itadori is not a special-grade Jujutsu Sorcerer, he is bound to become one of the most powerful sorcerers.
Of course, our main protagonist cannot disappoint his master right.
After consuming 15 fingers, if Itadori can manage to fully control Sukuna, then there is a slight hope that he could stop his rampage if he obtains his full strength.
But nothing can be said, as Sukuna would be far more dangerous at full strength.
