Naofumi, Rishia, and Kizuna managed to escape from Kyo’s trap, but Rapthalia was left behind. She was not able to teleport with Kizuna and thus was captured by Kyo’s men.

With Kizuna’s ability, they were able to reach Sikul, the Nation that summoned Kizuna as their Cardinal Hero. And as one could expect, she was very welcome there.

When she introduced Naofumi as a cardinal hero from another dimension, everyone sulked as there were rumours that the Cardinal Heros from another dimension had come to destroy their world.

As Naofumi was about to leave, he was intercepted by a man wearing a white robe standing on a platform floating a few inches above the ground.

Kizuna introduced him as Ethnobalt, the Wielder of the Boat Vassal Weapon.

It later turns out that Ethnobalt is not a human but a species of monster that has been protecting this dimension for many centuries.

Ethnobalt is the wielder of the Boat Vassal Weapon and has some very special abilities.

Ethnobalt can create a Shinigami of one person.

A shinigami is created by using some personal object (like hairs) of the person whose Shinigami is to be created and the blood of the person who wants to create it.

With his help, Naofumi created his Shinigami by using Rapthalia’s hairs and his blood.

The Shinigami being alive proves that Rapthalia is alive, and it can also guide Naofumi to Rapthalia’s location.

Ethnobalt can also use his Boat Weapon to carry people from one place to another through teleportation using the channels of the dragon hourglass, but he need not appear right before the glass and thus can secretly go to any place without being noticed.

His powers also allow him to search for someone using the Boat Vassal Weapon.

All of these abilities came to be very useful for Naofumi, and they were able to successfully enter the enemy kingdom unnoticed.

Ever since entering this dimension, Naofumi had been with Rapthalia and Rishia only.

Filo was missing from the moment he opened his eyes to this dimension.

Turns out that Kyo had kidnapped her and sold her to a rich merchant.

Filo, in her child-like human form, still had wings and appeared as an angel descended from heaven.

And that’s exactly what the merchant’s son used to earn some money by enslaving her, making her perform in front of an audience.

When Naofumi was passing through the nation, he sensed something and felt that he could hear Filo.

He ran in her direction, and to his horror, the merchant’s son had chained her and was beating her with a whip to make her sing.

Naofumi was enraged and was about to attack him, but Rishia and Kizuna stopped him.

They planned to secretly get in and rescue Filo at night.

At night when they infiltrated the mansion and followed a voice, they were surprised to find a small Humming Fairy caged with some talismans, a kind of seal which prevented Filo from transforming into her human form.

Soon Filo managed to detach the talisman on her body, and Kizuna cut open her cage, freeing her.

Filo jumped into Naofumi’s arms, crying inconsolably.

Naofumi was enraged, and then he used his shield to stop the merchant who came into the room.

Later on Naofumi, Rishia, Kizuna, and Filo escaped.

The next day they found news that the Wielder of the Katana Vassal Weapon was found but escaped.

Immediately after that, Naofumi had a bad feeling, and then he could no longer see Rapthalia’s stats.

Even after Naofumi lost the statistics of Rapthalia, she is definitely still alive as the Shinigami Naofumi created with Rapthalia’s hairs is alive. But where could have Kyo taken her to?

Also, Glass and Rapthalia were in the same location as their Shinigami pointed at the same place.

Could they both have been captured? Are L’Arc and the other Wielders of the Vassal Weapon also held hostage by Kyo?

And what is the news about the Wielder of the Katana Vassal Weapon? Who could it be, and why did he/she escape?
