Boruto Episode 249 Recap, Burgeoning Hatred

Boruto Episode 249 brought us some good news as well as some bad news.

First of all, Iwabe and Denki of Team 5 are alive and managed to escape from Funato.

Also, Funamushi’s son attacked Boruto and wanted to avenge him.

Are Iwabe and Denki Alive?

Iwabe and Denki were captured by the Funato when they went in search of food.

When brought to Funamushi and he learned that they were searching for food for children, he did not kill them and asked to be locked away.

This was kind of Funamushi as he was considerate towards the fact that they were gathering food for children.

But, after Funamushi’s defeat, when he was killed, the survivors of the Funato clan left their temporary base in a hurry to report the situation to Araumi Funato.

That’s when Iwabe and Denki managed to cut off their ropes and escape, as there was no Funato there to guard them.

They later managed to catch up with Metal and others who had been desperately searching for them for the past three days.

Is Boruto’s life in danger?

Yes, Boruto is now the primary target of Funato because he and Kagura almost killed Seirin.

She is unconscious and in serious condition. Also, the attack through the hills failed because of him as they defended the village and stopped the elite Funato squad.

After Funamushi’s death, his only son Kobuna attacked Boruto to avenge his father.

But, later on, when they could not defeat him, and Sarada joined Boruto, they escaped.

Also, while searching for Iwabe and Denki, Boruto and others stumbled upon a member of the Funato Clan.

But to their surprise, he later revealed that Ikada is Seirin’s younger brother and the son of Araumi Funato.
