Zdzisław Najmrodzki is a notorious Polish thief who successfully escaped the authorities 29 times.

He was one of the most infamous criminals of that era, having robbed over 70 Pewex stores and 100 FSO Polonez cars.

He was sentenced to 11 years in prison; however, Poland’s then-president, Lech Wałęsa, pardoned him. 

As per the official record, in 1995, Najmrodzki died due to a car accident near Mława.

As per the official record, he was driving a stolen BMW car with a fake vehicle registration plate.

Due to some reason, Zdzisław Najmrodzki’s car got skidded and went into a LIAZ truck.

When Zdzisław Najmrodzki’s body was recovered, authorities found a fake ID with him, and along with him, as per the official report, two fellow passengers, a 14-year-old boy Tomasz S and a 12-year-old Marcin S, also died due to the accident.

They were sitting behind the BMW car that Zdzisław Najmrodzki was driving.

Tomasz S and Marcin S were sons of Najmrodzki’s friend, the father was the who confirmed the identity of Zdzisław Najmrodz, Tomasz S , and Marcin S after the crash.

So if Zdzisław Najmrodzki survived the crash and lived, we are unsure of it, and his current whereabouts are also unknown.

‘The Getaway King’ is based on a true story, and the film kicks off in Poland in 1988 with Najmrodzki, with his flamboyance doing what he does best, that is stealing.

Zdzisław Najmrodzki is one of the most notorious criminals of all time famous, and he had escaped from the authorities record 29 times.

The film shows Zdzisław Najmrodzki’s character flamboyant character who, even during tough times, made his fortune first by stealing luxury items and stealing and selling luxury cars.

But only after meeting the love of his life, Tereska, Najmrodzki, decide to leave this line of work for good and spend a simple life with his girl.

But, before doing so, he needed some money so that they could lead a peaceful life with Tereska afterwards.

Therefore Najmrodzki promises to have one last job before settling with Tereska.

Najmrodzki decided to have one final dance with his crew, which didn’t sit well with Antos. Things went from bad to worse as the duo had an ugly falloff, making Anton snitch on Najmrodzki.

Lieutenant Barski catches Najmrodzki again amid a public shootout, and the latter gets sentenced to ten years.

Tereska tells him to behave well and work jobs to get free early while she waits for him.

Antos takes the rough route as he targets Najmrodzki’s close ones and assaults Tereska.

The gang visits lieutenant Barski to seek help in the matter, and we see Najmrodzki finally free (not escaping this time).

Najmrodzki meets Antos and threatens him to stay away, but the latter refuses.

He lures Antos into a faraway place, and Najmrodzki staged the entire scene, making it seem like he died in a car accident.

While all are convinced about his demise, Najmrodzki survived and kept his promise to Tereska.
