Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba is one of the most-watched anime.

It has the best animation to date, fantastic battle scenes, and the tragic story of Tanjiro Kamado and his demon sister Nezuko will bind you to watch the anime repeatedly.

We all know that Doma, Akaza, and Kokushibo are members of the Upper Demon Moon group, also known as The Twelve Kizuki.

Ever since the ending of Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 11, demon slayer fans have wondered How strong Doma is? Is he stronger than Akaza or Kokushibo?

If you have the same question, you have managed to land on the right page.

In this article, we will explain in detail how strong Doma is compared to Akaza. And also whether he is stronger than Kokushibo, The Upper Demon Moon 1.

So without further ado, let us discuss Doma’s strengths and powers.

Demon Slayer: Who is Doma or Douma in Demon Slayer?

Doma, or Douma, is one of the major antagonists in the Demon Slayer anime series. Doma is a member of the Upper Demon Moon clan, also known as Twelve Kizuki.

Doma holds a prominent position in Twelve Kizuki, the Upper-Rank Two Demon. As showcased in Demon Slayer Season 2, Episode 11, Doma is a tall, muscular Demon with a pale complexion.

If you have read the manga, you would know that Doma is one of the most wicked Demons in Demon Slayer anime.

Although he has a friendly and charismatic personality toward his fellow Demons in Twelve Kizuki, he also has a dark side, which is dangerous.

Doma loves to consume young females, as displayed in Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 11 when Daki and Gyutaro met Doma.

Doma was consuming young women but seeing the state in which Gyutaro and Daki were in, he decided to give his demon blood to Daki and Gyutaro to turn them into Demons.

During this time, Doma was an Upper 6 Demon, but with time he consumed more females.

As a result, he has grown more powerful over time, and currently, he is the Upper-Rank Two Demon in the Twelve Kizuki, which puts him just behind Kokushibo, the Upper-Rank One.

What are the powers and abilities of Doma in Demon Slayer?

Blood Demon Art Cryokinesis:

Doma is the Upper-Rank Two Demon of the Twelve Kizuki and one of the most formidable demons of all time.

Doma yields a power called Cryokinesis, a blood demon art by which he can generate ice frost from his flesh and blood.

He can spawn it anywhere he wants in his surroundings.

Not just that, he can manipulate the ice frosts as well.

For example, the blood demon art Cryokinesis can generate frost lotuses, stalagmites, clouds of icy air, or even generate an icy clone of himself; the clones are as powerful as he can use the same techniques as Doma.

Tessenjutsu:

Doma also uses a fighting style called Tessenjutsu, a martial art of the Japanese war fan Tessen. Doma is highly skilful in this technique, and even if it is believed in hand-to-hand combat using the Tessenjutsu, Doma can easily defeat Akaza in hand-to-hand combat.

Incredible Speed, Reflexes, and Regeneration abilities:

Doma has incredible speed and reflexes during his fight with Shinobu, who is said to be the fastest Hashira.

Doma used his incredible speed and reflex to injure him in one shot using the Tessenjutsu.

Apart from this, Doma also has extraordinary Regeneration abilities. As you know by now, every demon has Regeneration abilities, but Upper Demon Moon’s regeneration abilities are way more powerful.

They can grow back the parts of themselves that got injured during the ongoing fights.

Doma’s Psychotic Abilities:

Another important part of Doma’s powers is his psychotic abilities.

Doma doesn’t feel anything, be it any remorse or any emotion.

Adding to that, he doesn’t feel any pain as, well.

Therefore while fighting with Doma, you would not see him react to any blows. Instead, he will still calmly show his smirked face and continue fighting.

What are the powers and abilities of Akaza in Demon Slayer?

Akaza in Demon Slayer

As per Demon Slayer Fandom, Akaza is a master of hand-to-hand combat because of the Soryu style he learnt from Keizo when he was in his human form Hakuji.

His Soryu-style jujutsu can easily predict his opponents’ movements with great agility and reflexes.

It is said that no one can beat Akaza in hand-to-hand combat.

We have seen in Demon Slayer how even the mighty Flame Hashira Kyojuro failed to defeat Akaza with his ninth form Rengoku.

Below are some of the strongest strengths of Akaza.

Soryu Style:

As stated above, Akaza is a master of hand-to-hand combat, and he learnt Soryu-style jujutsu when he was a human (Hakuji).

He learnt this martial art from Keizo, who helped Hakuji when he initially struggled after his dad’s death.

It is said that Keizo actually invented this style, and hence Akaza had learnt from the inventor of the Soryu style.

Therefore imagine the expertise he possesses in the technique.

Using this power, Akaza uses his arms and legs to unleash devastating blows to the opponent’s neck or sword.

It is even stated that Akaza’s strikes are so powerful they can easily break off a Nichirin sword

Bell Splitter:

Bell Splitter is a blade-breaking technique that relies on Akaza’s wrist movement to destroy enemy swords or blades.

In this case, when he is close to his opponents, he uses strike to descend the sword putting pressure on its breaking points to destroy it.

He was successful in doing that against the flame Hashira Kyojuro.

Agility and Fast Reflexes:

Akaza possesses excellent agility and reflexes, as we have seen in his fight with Kyujuro.

His movements were so fast that even Kyujuro, Tanjiro and Inosuke could not anticipate Akaza’s movements.

Remember, even Kyujuro, with his ninth form, were only close to defeating Akaza, but he used his blade splitter technique to get out of it at the last moment.

Unlimited Stamina, Endurance, Immense strength, and regeneration ability:

As stated above, Akaza is a master of hand-to-hand combat; hence his strength is almost unmatched.

His punches and kicks are so deadly that they can quickly kill a hashira who wishes to go against him in hand-to-hand combat.

Now, coming to the unlimited stamina part, most of the Demons possess Muzan’s blood, giving them unlimited stamina and endurance.

As Akaza is Upper Demon 3, he possesses the third highest amount of Muzan’s blood. Hence his stamina and endurance are almost infinite.

The same we showcased during his fight against Kyujuro when he used his second form, Rising Scorching Sun. It barely affected Akaza.

One of his hands got sliced, but he used his regeneration ability to heal quickly and was back fighting Kyujuro, Tanjrio and Inosuke.

Doma vs Akaza: Is Doma Stronger than Akaza? Can Akaza defeat Doma in 1 vs 1?

Doma is more powerful than Akaza because, as you know, Doma is the upper demon moon 2.

In contrast, Akaza is Upper Demon Moon 3, so it can be understood that Doma has more of Muzan’s blood, plus he kills more people and consumes females regularly, which is why he became stronger.

Akaza is a Close-Combat Fighter, as he mainly Fights with his Fists.

His Blood Technique is Technique Destructive Style which increases his Physical Powers and Tracks opponents by bloodlust.

Moreover, it allows him to do numerous things like Wide Spread attacks. But Doma is highly skilled in Tessenjutsu, a mixed martial art technique that uses a Japanese war fan made of solid iron. He uses the Tessenjutsu to fight and fend off short-range attacks.

Akaza doesn’t have any blood demon art to help him fight mid or long-range battles.

Whereas Doma’s blood art Cryokinesis demon can be used to fight mid- and long-range fighting.

The blood demon art Cryokinesis can easily cut lungs and freeze on Contact. Likewise, his Lotus Ice technique can rip through the lungs.

Not just that, Doma can even generate an icy clone of himself, which is equally powerful as the clones can use the same techniques that he uses.

Besides, during Akaza’s fight with Rengoku, Renguko almost defeated Akaza.

However, the same does not apply to Doma, as Doma is so powerful that a Hashira alone cannot defeat him.

It took three people, The Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho, The Flower Hashira Kanae Kocho, and Inosuke, to defeat him.

Plus, when it comes to speed, Doma is also faster than Akaza. Combining all his abilities would be a long battle since both demons are so strong,

But eventually, Doma will come out on top as he is slightly stronger than Akaza.

Doma vs Kokushibo: Is Doma Stronger than Kokushibo?

Kokushibo is far stronger than Doma.

Doma was able to outpace one of the fastest Hashira in Demon Slayer Corps, i.e., Shinobu Kocho, and Doma’s movements were so fast that even Kanao’s superhuman eyes couldn’t track him.

But compared to Kokushibo’s movement, it is nothing because Kokushibo was so fast that during his fight, even Muichiro and Sanemi were incapable of following his movements to some extent.

As a result, Gyomei (Stone Piller Hashira) was later on forced to fight defensively for the most part.

Even while fighting alongside Sanemi (Wind Hashira), they had to fight by splitting up so that they could grab Kokushibo’s attention and incorporate different attacks from long range.

It is believed that Gyomei is the strongest Hashira in Demon Slayer Corps, so even he, along with Muichiro Tokito, Genya Shinazugawa, and Sanemi Shinazugawa, had to fight together to defeat Kokushibo, so you can guess how strong Kokushibo will be.

Even more so, Muichiro Tokito, Genya Shinazugawa, and Gyomei had unlocked the transparent world.

However, they still didn’t damage Kokushibo until after Genya (Sanemai’s brother) used his surprise attack to immobilize Kokushibo.

A transparent world is a supernatural ocular ability only obtainable to those Demon Slayers who have awakened the Demon Slayer Mark.

Both Kokushibo and Doma have wide attack ranges and can do lots of damage with a single attack.

However, Doma’s demon art Cryokinesis is more varied than Kokushibo’s Moon Breathing, but it is still not enough to be compared the level of power that Kokushibo possesses.

Kokushibo is the brother of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, who was the founder of sun breathing techniques from which the other breathing techniques were derived; his brother taught Kokushibo as he was not able to master the sun breathing, he ended up conquering the moon breathing technique, which is also one of the most powerful breathing techniques in Demon Slayer

Kokushibo’s attacks are more lethal and more difficult to circumvent. Both Kokushibo and Doma have great endurance, plus they can regenerate quickly.

Kokushibo also awakened Demon Slayer Mark when he was a human, and the same he can do in his demon form, which enables him to use the transparent world. Therefore, it makes the user significantly more powerful in predicting enemy attacks.

Thus, Doma would probably be able to keep up the fight with Kokushibo’s attacks for a while, both of them will trade blows, but Kokushibo would be more capable of dodging attacks and will also trade more damage to Doma.

So Kokushibo will eventually win if he uses his skin manipulation technique to accomplish sword manipulation and also if he uses his Moon Breathing techniques.

It would be a long battle since both demons are so strong and can heal quickly, But Kokushibo is far more powerful than Doma when comparing powers.
