A Recap of Forecasting Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 13
Forecasting Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 13 has been titled “Scenario 1,2,3”. This episode is about the three scenarios ( read options) that life provides us time and again.
At the beginning of Forecasting Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 13, we find 14 typhoons hitting parts of Korea, causing severe damages and flooding. However, the path of the typhoon matched the predictions of KMA, for which it was highly praised, and the government was also able to minimise the damage.
Because of the upcoming 15 typhoon Elisha, Ha Kyung is instructed by the director-general to go to the typhoon centre. Ha Kyung pays for Lee’s father’s taxi and asks him to worry more about his son than the compensation money on the way to the centre.

Some fathers, like senior forecaster Um, care about their children, some fathers, like hers, take the easy way out and escape the difficult situation, and some, like Lee’s father, are shameless and selfish.
At the centre, Ha Kyung is appalled at Director Sung’s indifferent approach towards Lee’s accident and confronts her for the same. To this director, Sung replies that accidents frequently occur in their line of duty, and all the staff, including Sung herself, have got hurt sometimes or the other.
Lee, who has been discharged from the hospital, arrives at the centre to resume his duties. Ha Kyung is furious at him for neglecting his health.
Meanwhile, at the KMA headquarters, we find assistant director Myung, assistant director Shin and Kim gossiping about Ha Kyung’s affair with Lee. Myung asks them to keep quiet about it. They say that senior forecaster Um is so dense brained that he didn’t suspect anything about the affair even while living with them.
Senior forecaster Um, who overhears some of the conversations, thinks that they are talking about his married life and confesses that he is about to get a divorce.
Meanwhile, Shin receives images of penguins that Jin is finalising for her upcoming book. Shin saves the image and accidentally sends them to the typhoon centre instead of a geological report he was supposed to send.

Assistant director Myung tells her about Um’s impending divorce and takes all the blame on herself. Also, assistant directors Shin and Um are ready to take responsibility.
Director Sung confronts Ha Kyung for the casual approach of her team and says that all you do is sit comfortably on your chairs. Ha Kyung defends her team by saying that they work very hard, and at the cost of their family lives, to keep predicting the weather for people’s safety and well-being.
Meanwhile, Han tells Chae, who is waiting at the bus station, that he wants to speak to her. Chae ignores him and boards the bus. Han follows her to her house, gets on his knees and apologises to her.
Later in the night, they keep arguing, and Chae starts crying. On hearing her cry, her stepfather starts bashing Han for making his daughter cry. Chae asks him to stop and calls him dad for the first time, making him very happy.
Han and Chae return to their apartment the next day though Chae doesn’t seem to be excited about it.
Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 13 Ending Explained
Meanwhile, senior forecaster Um goes to his wife, asking her to let him stay home for three months, after which he will sign the divorce papers if she insists. His wife, Hyang, is initially reluctant to give him a second chance, but when she finds that Um has secured the windows in the wake of the upcoming typhoon, she agrees to let him stay for two months.
Elsewhere, assistant director Myung is appalled to find that her husband is playing with his friends while she has been slogging it out all alone. Unable to take it anymore, she gives her husband three scenarios (read options)- to rejoin his job, get a divorce, or study for his exams as if his life depends on the same.

He meets Jin telling her that he can’t see her anymore as he can’t handle more than one thing at a time. Jin Kyung kisses him, saying that she too likes him. Together, they go for dinner under the same umbrella.
Ha Kyung decides to go to the sea on a boat to launch a sonde to predict the path of the fifteenth typhoon. Sonde is a compact balloon-borne instrument used to give information on wind speed and direction ( source Wikipedia).
Lee decides to accompany her on this mission, and together they can successfully launch the sonde, which starts delivering crucial data. Though the predictions of KMA about the path doesn’t turn out to be accurate, no damages occur.
Hyang finds that Bo-mi is getting quite attached to and is proud of her father when she becomes an avid watcher of KMA predictions on television.
Ha Kyung contemplates that there are three scenarios for her, either clinging on to Lee, breaking up with him on a high note, or giving it some time. She decides to break up with him amicably and announces this to him.
In the ending of Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 13, they return to Seol together and go their own separate ways.
Senior forecaster, Um, tells Lee that the whole office knows about his affair with Ha Kyung. Lee later comes to her apartment to collect his belongings when Ha Kyung’s mom confronts them with their cosy photographs and asks them to come clean on their relationship.
