Eternally Confused and Eager for Love’s ending left many questions unanswered, one such question is, with whom Ray will end up? Like me, if you have thoroughly enjoyed all eight episodes of this recent Netflix comedy-drama then you will have this question too.
The series is about a socially awkward adult named Ray (Vihan) who doesn’t have many friends apart from his female best friend Riya and her work buddy Varun. No one can understand him completely.
Ray is also a virgin and never dated any girl or had a relationship with anyone until his current age of 24. So his work buddy Varun and Riya try to set him up with girls and online dating so that Ray can get out of his shell and at least try to date some girl.
Besides Riya and Varun, Ray also has another friend, his key chain, whom he calls Wiz. As portrayed in the series, Wiz has been with him since he was in class 7. He has developed a strange bond with this Key Chain Wiz.
He talks to him and overthinks everything about how he should behave around girls, how he approaches a girl, everything with his key.
This Key Chain, Wiz is voiced by Jim Sorbh, and the altercations between Ray and Wiz will burst you out of laughter as the series is funny as heck. If you haven’t managed to watch the series yet, then do not worry.
We have got you covered in this article. We will explain the ending explained of Eternally Confused and Eager for Love. So without further ado, let’s get started.
Warning! before reading this article we would like to inform you that this article contains spoilers of Eternally Confused and Eager for Love Season 1, so if you haven’t watched the series yet better to avoid this article.

Eternally Confused and Eager for Love Ending Explained ‘Ray+Who=Love?’: Who does Ray end up with?
In Eternally Confused and Eager for Love, Ray doesn’t end up with anyone or be in a relationship with anyone else. But one thing is for sure our boy is not a virgin anymore.
So as you know, Ray’s parents, played by Rahul Bose and Suchitra Pillai, always forced him in seeing some girl. But Ray is a socially awkward guy who has always avoided his parents’ ideas of meeting someone and then getting arranged.
One time Ray’s parents try to set him up with his old school friend Pari and even set a date with her for him.
But Ray being Ray, overthought everything with his Key Chain Wiz and ruins the night for Pari by returning from the date night without showing his face to Pari.
Now over a call with his best friend Riya, Ray tells her everything about how he got scared and claustrophobic and ran away from the date night. Ray insisted that her best friend Riya set him up with her office colleague Karishma, who recently had a breakup.
Ray turned up on the date this time, but again he screwed it up by giving a horrible joke at the end about Karishma’s sick grandfather, and that ended up ruining the night again.

The next day Riya and her friends invited Ray to a nightclub where one of Riya’s friends, named Naina, showed interest in Ray. Still, again, Ray’s overthinking and panic kicked in, and he never approached that night Naina when Riya suggested Ray go and talk to her.
Ray didn’t have the guts to do that as well. And witnessed Naina kissing some other guy in the club. Therefore Ray screwed his chance here as well.
When Riya asked why he didn’t approach Naina as clearly, she liked Ray. Ray replied he didn’t know how to approach a girl, and he didn’t have kissed any girl before. So to help Ray, Riya kisses him so that it can boost the confidence of Ray can come out of his shell and approach some girl, at least in the future.
A few days later, Ray learns that his parents again set up a family dinner with Pari’s family, the same girl by whom Ray got freaked out and left the place.
Ray didn’t want to meet Pari’s family after that incident, so he wished somehow he felt sick so that he wouldn’t have to go tomorrow.
But it turns out Pari’s father had a heart attack, and the dinner got cancelled. Wiz poked at Ray, saying he might have wanted someone to feel sick, which is why Pari’s father had a heart attack.
Overthinking starts again; Ray felt terrible and thought maybe it was his fault, so he tried to make things right with Pari.
He visits Pari in the hospital, and later on, they both have a chat, and he understands that Pari is a lovely girl and both kind of like each other at this time.

But again, our boy here screws up this with Pari by revealing that he wanted someone to fall sick as he didn’t want to meet Pari’s parents, and Pari here thought Ray hoped for a father to fall ill, ruining the things between them.
And to add salt to the wound, just the next day, Ray trying to help an office worker messed it up, and in turn, the worker lodged a complaint against him which ended in him being thrown out from the company.
Being thrown out of his Job, Ray gets pressured by his parents, but he convinces his father somehow and takes some time from his parents to think about what he needs to do next.
In the meantime, Ray gets a match on the Homerun app with a girl name Ruchi, and the date did turn up well from each other they tried to make out with each other in his car but screwed up again by not carrying a condom this time.
Then in Episode 7, Ray fought with his best friend Riya as well, stating why they are not dating as he liked her. He further said that Riya would always find rich a**holes who would cheat on her. Riya, in turn, said some nasty things to Ray and called him an antisocial freak.
In Episode 8, Ray gets invited to his work buddy Varun’s engagement party, and Varun tells him to invite Riya and all her friends. Varun also tells him to patch things up with Riya as she is one of his closest friends who were always there for him when needed.
So Ray finally patched things up with his best friend Riya over her favourite chicken curry. Both finally make amends with each other Riya also says sorry for his behaviour, and both decide if they stay single for 40 years, they will marry each other, Riya agrees for the same.

Later on, Varun’s engagement party Riya’s friends Komal(who hated Ray), Naina all arrived.
Riya gets a call from Jiah Arjun’s ex-girlfriend. Riya actually liked Arjun at the party, and they also kissed. That time Riya wasn’t aware that Arjun had a girlfriend, Jiah. But later on, when she heard that both had broken up, Riya called Arjun to her place.
But as it turns out, Jiah and Arjun supposedly didn’t break up, which is why Jiah called Riya and told her to stay away from her boyfriend.
Ray supports Riya and tells her not to worry. She will find someone, and if there is any consolation left, there are the six shots they have, and they ended up drinking six shots of Vodka, later on, partying the whole night.
The next day Ray wakes up on his bed. He notices a packet of condoms on his bed, unknowing that if he did have sex last night, he asked Wiz about this. Wiz tells him he sure did.
Then we see Komal arriving, meaning they both had intercourse last night. Later on, Ray’s parents come to know about this as well, meaning in the next season, we will probably see Rahul Bose and Suchitra Pillai will likely force Ray to marry Komal. But one thing is for sure; the season 1 ending does leave the door open for season 2.

I think Ray and Riya will be the perfect match, but what do you think? If you have enjoyed Eternally Confused and Eager for Love Season 1, let us know in the comments below what you think about season 1 ending? And Whom should Ray end up with?
