Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 240 Recap, Ikada’s dream
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 241 was an adventurous journey for Boruto and Ikada. They faced a dangerous storm in the sea and barely escaped it. They both could have drowned in it.
The episode begins with Denki, Iwabe, and Metal helping the Boss to repair the ship’s engine while Boruto and Ikada helped in other repairs. Sarada, Kagura, and the other Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist head out to inform the Mizukage about their reports.
They inform him about the success of the rescue mission and also receive updates regarding Funato’s actions. Kagura comes to know that the Mizukage has headed out to the frontlines to take command as the war with Funato is inevitable.
Kawaki offers to check out the island and sets off to explore it while Mitsuki, who has come to get a lot of interest in Kawaki, trails him. He observes Kawaki and has developed a liking towards him. Kawaki is irritated by watching Mitsuki follow him everywhere but in the end, let’s it pass.
A major part required in Ship’s engine was completely damaged and needed to be replaced, but Boss did not have it in his stock. It turns out that Ikada had not kept a record of the part and forgot to order a new part.

Without this part, the engine could not start. The boss was angry with Ikada for this. To make up for his mistake, Ikada offers to go to the factory in the North of the Island and bring the part. Boss refuses at first due to the danger of Funato, but when Boruto offers to accompany him, he agrees to let them go.
Boruto and Ikada rush out to complete the task. They take up a small boat that Ikada made himself and head out into the sea. This is the first and only boat made by Ikada, but he was sure that it would be enough to take them to the North of Island fast.
Ikada’s steering skills were great, and he read movements of waves and winds accurately. The boat went on high speed, and Boruto had to hold on to it to avoid falling into the ocean.
Ikada also tells Boruto that his dream is to build a super strong and large ship and sail through the entire world in it. He also adds that he was inspired by Boss’s work, and it was due to him that he was able to realize his dream.
Ikada tells but that he was born on a ship and spent most of his childhood on the ship. He left his family a while back and came to the Island of Shipbuilders to live a new life and find its purpose.
Since he had lived on a ship for so long, he felt connected to ships and decided to work there, but none of his jobs went well. At that time, he met Boss, who accepted him and taught him how to build and repair ships.
Boss made him take notes of everything and write down his learning and feelings, and this helped Ikada to realize his dream. He worked hard and learned plenty of things from Boss.
Soon enough, Boruto and Ikada had covered a lot of distance, but now they were approaching a storm. They must pass through it to reach the Northern side of the Island. Ikada managed to steer the boat through the storm.
But, inside the storm, another boat of a fisherman had turned upside down. The fisherman was drowning, and Boruto wanted to help him. Ikada took the boat as close as he could, but it was very difficult.
Boruto was about to jump in the raging sea, but Ikada stopped him, and he himself jumped in. He swam towards the drowning man with powerful strokes. He rescued the man and brought him to his small boat.

Boruto noticed that Ikada’s hands had turned webbed. They were just like the webbed feet of a duck which helped them swim. Ikada explained that this happened to him whenever he swam really hard.
Boruto was now certain that it was Ikada who had saved him from drowning in the sea when Boruto had fallen from the ship. Ikada said that he saw him falling and jumped in to save him.
He had to deny it earlier because even his master, Boss, did not know about this. Boruto agreed to keep it a secret that only the two of them would share. After that, as they were about to get going again, Ikada’s boat got stuck in a whirlpool formed due to a storm.
The powerful waves and the force of water pulling the boat in caused Ikada to lose balance, and he was about to fall into the sea. But fortunately, Boruto caught him in time using his Shadow Clone Jutsu.
He pulled Ikada back onto the boat. Now, Ikada put all of his skills to steer the boat out of the whirlpool and eventually managed to do it. But, the boat was about to crash into the debris in the storm. If that had happened, their boat would have crashed.
Boruto immediately used his Wind Style: Gale Palm, to create a force of wind and blasted off the debris and prevented the boat from crashing. Soon they managed to escape the storm and reach the Northern part of the Island.
They went to the factory and bought the part required to rebuild the engine. They returned to the shipyard by evening along with the required part and immediately set to work. Boss did most of the work and asked Ikada to finish up the job.
Ikada repaired the engine, and now after a few external repairs, the boat is ready to set sail. On the other hand, Araumi Funato has reunited with his two sons and daughter and plans to take over the Land of Waters.

His son, Tenma, informs him that the mobile fortress had been destroyed. Araumi tells him that the war is about to begin, and the fortress is no longer required as it had served its purpose by destroying the frontline base of the Land of Waters.
Now, Araumi Funato’s daughter, Seirin Funato, is headed towards the Island of Traitors, the place of shipbuilders to take back Ikada and destroy the complete island. What will Ikada do? Is Ikada really the son of Araumi Funato? Why did he leave his clan?
