A Recap of Forecasting Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 7
At the beginning of Forecasting Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 7, we again find Ha Kyung asking Lee to move in with her but keeping it a secret. She adds that after what she has been through, she needs to get to know him better before making a decision about her future with him.
Lee declines her offer, saying that he has been in a live-in relationship before and just living together for some time is no guarantee of future compatibility. One can guess that it is Lee’s pride that made him decline.
Elsewhere, we find Han confronting Chae for not registering their marriage. Chae says that she is no more sure of their relationship with the daily conflicts they are having. She adds that she doesn’t want to get old repaying debts.
Lee is seen apartment hunting and finds it very difficult to find one that fits his meagre budget. We can imagine his trauma from a flashback scene where we find that when he was a child, his father used to leave him unattended on the streets while he was busy gambling in the motels.
During the course of the night, we find Ha Kyung waiting for Lee’s phone call, Lee living off his car, and senior broadcaster Um staying at the night duty room of KMA. Um’s daughter, Um Bo-mi, asks her mother to seek a divorce if she doesn’t love him anymore.
The next day Han finds himself in the lift with assistant director Myung and asks her about her husband leaving the job for one year. Later, over coffee, Han seeks her advice on her marital problems.
Myung explains to him that marriage is a point of no return for a couple, and one needs to instil faith in one’s partner.
Meanwhile, at the KMA headquarters, we find that the ozone layer in the atmosphere might reach warning levels due to increased solar radiation. The Air Quality Forecast Centre is intimated, which issues an alert.
Ha Kyung reflects that it is ironic that ozone is both beneficial and harmful at the same time. Maintenance of an optimal distance is crucial but is impossible to calculate at the same time.
Kim Soo-Jin receives complaint calls from the public who is inconvenienced by the ozone alert. Some of them try to flirt, while some are utterly rude to her. Assistant director, Myung, comes to Kim’s rescue and gives the complainant a taste of his own medicine.
Han later comes and confronts Kim for talking rudely to a complainant. Kim is distraught and says that she did not clear her civil services examination to hear these trivial complaints and to be yelled at.
Ha Kyung patiently explains to Kim that they are doing a public service and that she shall not view their complaints as trivial. Senior forecaster Um fondly remembers the time when he had explained the same thing to a younger Ha Kyung. “Ha Kyung has come a long way”, Um says to himself.
Lee is taking the phone call from his realtor when he overhears senior forecaster Um discussing his family problems with the Senior Director. Now, Lee knows why Um has been living in the night shift room and asks him if he too can share the room with him.
Later Ha Kyung and Lee go for dinner together. Ha Kyung confesses that they were kicked out of their house after her father’s death to pay off the debts. She and her sister had to live at various relatives’ places while their mother worked.
It was much later when they managed to live together as a family. It is why, Ha Kyung adds, she knows the pain of being homeless.
Lee later brings food for a hungry Um and confides to him that his cover has been blown away. Lee doesn’t have a penny to his name and has been clinging to his pride so far.
Meanwhile, we find that Han has been offered to write a feature by the chief editor of Munmin Daily, where Chae works. Having received marital advice from Myung, Han decides to work on his marriage.
When Chae comes home, she finds that Han has cooked dinner for her. Han tells her that he has applied for a loan meant for civil servants at a cheaper interest rate and informs her that he has agreed to write the feature.
Elsewhere we find Ha Kyung’s sister at a bookstore, where she discovers that the book she has written has been kept in the store. She holds the book on display which assistant director Shin sees. Shin tells her that he found the book to be pathetic, which upsets Jin. When Shin realises that Jin has written the book, he feels sorry.
Forecasting Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 7 Ending Explained
The following day, Han comes to Ha Kyung asking, yet again, for her help to write his feature, and she refuses this time.
Ha Kyung is later told that she should take more care of her team. She is made aware that two of her team members are living in the night shift room.
Ha Kyung finds both of them sleeping in their cars and brings them to her apartment. She tells them that they are to stay at her apartment on a cost-sharing basis until further arrangement. Lee goes to buy beer while Um goes to have a bath.
Meanwhile, Han, who has overheard his colleagues talking about his wife’s past live-in relationship, gets dead drunk and arrives at Ha Kyung’s doorstep. At the same time, Shin, who is mysophobic, comes with the side dishes at her door.
In the previous episode, Jin, who had brought the side dishes for Ha Kyung, had dumped the same at Shin’s place when she found Ha Kyung’s apartment locked and the security code changed. The smell of the side dishes was driving him crazy, and he came to give them back to Ha Kyung.
It so happens that there is utter chaos in Ha Kyung’s living room with Han arriving in a dead drunk condition, Shin arriving with the side dishes, Lee coming back with the beer bottles and Um coming out of the bathroom, all at the same time!
