A quick recap of Peaky Blinders Season 6 Episode 1

In the first episode of the sixth season, we saw that Thomas Shelby had made up his mind to shoot himself with his gun. He had even pulled the trigger, but nothing had happened as Arthur had earlier emptied the bullets from the gun.

It sets the show’s tone that Thomas Shelby is at his lowest of times. His killing of Oswald Mosley has also not been successful as Barney Thompson has been captured.

Thomas understands that killing Oswald Mosley will not be easy as the Irish Republican Army protects him.

Along with this, we see the death of Aunty Polly Gray, which breaks him down even further. Aunt Polly’s death affects him and the fans and audience of the show.

His daughter, Ruby, also seems ill, and she is constantly dreaming about a man with green eyes. She goes on repeating the words Tickna mora o’beng in her dream. Tommy calls in Esmeralda to look after Ruby and make all necessary arrangements to ensure his daughter’s safety.

As Michael Gray steps into the scene, we see that he is not at all pleased to see Tommy doing business with the people who were responsible for Polly’s death. Tommy, too wants to take revenge, but he knows that business was necessary for the family at that time.

He had put Michael in prison to not interfere in any of his business. We understand that Tommy plans to use Michael as his pawn to accomplish some goals.
