In The Afterparty Season 1 Episode 8, we will also find Detective Aldrin Germain arriving at the crime scene.

Considering how determined Detective Danner is to solve the case before his arrival, Germain is most likely to find, on his arrival, that he has nothing left to do.

Danner and Germain’s association goes way back to the year 2008 when they were both trainees at the LAPD Police Academy, and Germain had always tried to score a point over Danner.

In The Afterparty Season 1 Episode 8, we will find Danner giving him a taste of his own medicine.

In The Afterparty Season 1 Episode 8, we are likely to find Aniq getting absolved of the suspicion that he has killed Xavier because Danner’s instincts are telling her right from the beginning that Aniq is innocent.

Proven innocent, Aniq is most likely to get into a relationship with Zoe in The Afterparty Season 1 Episode 8.

The Afterparty Season 1 Episode 7 has been titled “Danner”.

Elsewhere in the villa, we find Aniq and Yasper listening to their conversation on their earphones.

Zoe arrives at the scene, and Aniq thanks her for sticking up for him. He also apologises for not having the courage to tell her that he had made the mixed CD. Zoe admits that things might have been different if she had known this.

Aniq confesses to Zoe that he has been listening to all the interviews through his mobile phone, and together, they start listening to the conversation between Danner and Culp.

Detective Danner goes into flashback and starts retelling her past to an uninterested Culp.

Danner says that hers was a family of cops, but her dad did not want her to be a cop. However, when her dad died, she decided to become a cop and serve people.

At the LAPD Police Academy, Germain was also training with her and always tried to let her down. He was the golden boy of the academy while she was the mad dog.

Six years later, we find Danner investigating the case of package thefts by a blue hooded green-haired girl. One of the victims of her theft had shot her video and made it viral.

An over-enthusiastic Danner found that a murder had taken place in the vicinity and went to have a look, where she was asked to guard the perimeter and not cross it.

The Afterparty Season 1 Episode 7 Ending Explained: Why Does Detective Danner Want To Solve The Case Before Germain?

Danner learnt that the wife of a famous producer had been murdered, and the CCTV footage showed a blue hooded green-haired person committing the crime.

Danner went inside the house and found Germain handling the case. She told him about the package thefts and, in her enthusiasm, even tracked down the car of the green-haired girl named Willow.

Willow got arrested, and Germain pressed charges of murder against her.

However, Danner felt that something was not right and decided to investigate further.

Willow’s fingerprints were found at the spot when the footage showed that the hooded person was wearing gloves. Also, the expression on the face of the deceased revealed that she knew that person.

Danner went on to interview Vaughn, the producer whose wife had died. There, she met his costume designer, Tatiana, and suspected that the two were having an affair.

Germain was furious at Danner for meddling in this case. He told her that the case had already been solved and also that Vaughn had appointed him as a consultant on his show.

Danner, however, is not someone to get ruffled so easily and visited the sets of Vaughn’s show Marshall Law.

From Tatiana’s assistant, she learnt that at the time of the murder, Vaughn was supposedly resting in his vanity van and also that he had borrowed a costume, supposedly for his nephew.

Danner suspected that Vaughn, taking advantage of the viral video of the hooded girl, dressed like her and killed his wife. Danner told all this to Willow’s attorney.

The attorney, however, told all of it to Germain, and Danner got assigned to the record room as a punishment. On the other hand, the positive outcome was that the case got dismissed, and Willow was released.

Flashback over, Danner tells Culp that it is essential for her to solve the case before Germain arrives and, upon a sudden realisation, remembers that she is yet to interview one last witness.

Culp, meanwhile, finds Aniq’s phone and realises that Aniq has been listening to all their conversations.
