Captain Angela Ali has been portrayed in front of everyone as a hero after returning from space. However, she knows about the enormous troubles that she and her team faced during their length of stay at the moon and coming back to the earth.

A quick look at Captain Angela Ali’s character in Space Force Season 2
The show starts with everyone facing questions from the Secretary regarding General Naird.
Angela has always respected the General, and she portrayed the same. She had mentioned that if it was not for General Naird, she would have seen her life coming to an end on the moon. She agrees to the fact that she owes her life to the General.
She is now a US Hero, and the fact that everywhere she goes, she is constantly asked about it bugs her a lot. The anxiety inside of her has also started building to a great extent, and she has started suffering from PTSD as well.
When they were at war with the Chinese on the moon, she witnessed many disturbing incidents, including one of her teammates eating their pet bird.
Due to this continuous anxiety, she cannot even live appropriately. Her life has totally changed. We see her wearing new clothes, and after wearing them for a while, she throws them out of the window and gets new ones.
Despite all these happening in her life, when one of their satellites was out of control, Captain Angela Ali proved herself to be a hero again by keeping her cool, steering the satellite properly and finally bringing it to safety.
By the ending of Space Force Season 2, we see that she plans to hand over her resignation to the General. However, due to her fantastic work in saving the satellite, she is promoted to the rank of Major. Ultimately, she ends up staying at Space Force.
How do we see the journey of Captain Angela Ali and Dr Chan evolve in Space Force Season 2?
In the first episode of Space Force Season 2, we see Dr Chan trying his best to talk to Angela. They had not talked much after Angela had returned from the moon, because we had seen they were very much in touch and connected in the first season.
Their conversation does not continue for long, and she says that she has been a bit busy after coming back from the moon.
In the second episode of the show, we see how Dr Chan is totally into Captain Angela Ali, as he makes a board full of flow charts and tries to take suggestions from the others whether she likes her the same amount or not.
Captain Angela Ali then faces an interview where she is asked many questions about her visit to the moon. While she meets all these questions, she is reminded of the pet bird that one of her teammates had eaten and is frozen. She somehow completes her interview.
She tries her best to express that she is tired of pretending of being a hero. In another interview, when she was asked how she felt about being a hero, she got fed up and answered that it is not just her; everyone doing any kind of work is a hero.
She gets so fed up with her career here at the Space Force that she thinks of leaving this place and taking up another job. She even attended a session on real estate but did not find it good enough.
When Dr Chan understands that Captain Angela Ali is really fascinated by Dr Lim, a Chinese astronaut, we all see how jealous he starts getting of him.
It is very sweet to see his subtle jealousy on screen. Finally, at the end of the fourth episode of the show, we see that he confronts Angela and indirectly asks her whether she is into Dr Lim.
To this, Angela confirms that she is not into him and in the very next episode, we see both Dr Chan and Captain Angela Ali in bed. Chan then tries to clarify what is the thing between both of them. Angela gets irritated by this, throws her clothes outside the window, and plays her drums.
Although both of them face many ups and downs in their time together in the show but in the scene where they get stuck in the lift, things start getting sorted.
Both Dr Chan and Angela had decided that they would leave Space Force and continue their career elsewhere. Chan had even received an offer from SpaceX.
But at the end of the show, we see Captain Angela Ali and Dr Chan evolve in Space Force Season 2. Angela had done an amazing job in handling and steering a satellite; she is now promoted to the rank of Major.
Dr Chan also decides to stay back at Space Force and work with his team and Dr Mallory. However, we all can understand that his main reason for staying is because of Major Angela Ali.
