Resident Alien Season 2 Episode 4 Recap and Review:
Resident Alien Season 2 Episode 4 was titled ‘Radio Harry,’ and as it suggests, it focussed on Harry building a radio to transmit a crucial message to his people.
Episode 4 is a tad bit emotional, as it again delves deep into the importance of human relationships and the strength of our bonds that makes our planet Earth quite unique.
Yes, the present reality is far from happy, as constant tension would rather point to humans indifference towards our planet’s suffering, but that cannot roof all of humanity.
Harry seems to get that message little by little, and ‘Resident Alien Season 2 Episode 4‘ just bolstered his soft feelings that he is starting to form for mother Earth.
Dr Ethan’s whereabouts:
Episode 4 kicked off by revealing the current whereabouts of Dr Ethan. Dr Ethan Stone has been in confinement for the past 65 days, and he is not alone as all others suspected of being abducted by the aliens are also in detainment.
The person in charge is General Eleanor Wright, as she is leaving no stones unturned to extract vital information to prove her father’s innocence.
In the end, we also get to see how she prepares dinnertime with Dr Stone to get him to confess about his alien form.
Things are getting very intense with General Wright, and we expect her to get even more dangerous in the coming episodes.
Harry building a radio and the message to his people:
Moving over, we have Harry trying to build a radio to send a signal back to his people but fails to get the necessary items from Sahar and Max, as they still doubt his intentions. Harry tried to create a bomb, so why not again?
Sahar’s doubts are as rational as they could be, but this time, Harry indeed mean to build a radio. Sahar is again coming off as a strong character, and as the series progresses, she seems to steal every scene she is in.
In Harry’s quest to find the necessary items for his radio, Asta accompanies him. Much like Sahar and Max, she’s also not on board with Harry’s plan and asks him several questions, which in turn makes Harry suspicious.
Hary explains his plan and how they need to send a signal into the space to reach a transit station on ‘Oumuamua.’ It’s when Asta tells him to go to the reservation to send the signal.
After reaching the reservation, all welcomed Harry, and after having lunch, they set off for the woods. Harry and Asta had to hike up the following day to find the spot to send the signal.
To this point, Harry is still convinced that it’s better off destroying Earth. He believes it would just speed up the ongoing onslaught.
Anyways, the next morning, after they reached the spot, Harry revealed the message in his signal. Through his signal, he would ask his people to wait for the next ’50 years’ and destroy the planet after Asta’s death.
Harry has a change of heart:
Soon enough, Asta receives a call from the reservation about Sonny going into labor. They returned to the reservation, and Harry helped in Sonny’s successful delivery.
The joy of a newborn baby and a parent’s love shakes harry’s feelings, and now he gets in a dilemma. He struggles to fight his new formed feelings towards mother Earth and why it’s essential to save it.
The episode also featured D’arcy as she had a not-so-pleasant time with her condescending parents. Again, D’arcy’s condition sheds light on her parent’s ill-treatment that damaged her self-esteem long before. Although being loved by all, she instead felt alienated.
As a result of constant talking down upon, she was too overwhelmed and had enough to tolerate any further. She stood up and pulled the tablecloth on her parents before leaving.
Sitting across was Sheriff Mike, as we got to know his painful past and how his mistakes decided his partner’s untimely demise.
In the end, Dr Ethan’s dinner with General McCallister was followed by her team receiving a signal from Harry’s people.
