A South Korean romantic comedy television series directed by Cha Young-hoon, Forecasting Love and Weather, revolves around the professional and personal lives of the people working in the Korea Meteorological Administration.
The first two episodes of Forecasting Love and Weather introduced the viewers to Jin Ha Kyung, who works at the Korea Meteorological Administration as a weather forecaster, and gets promoted to the post of director of her team due to certain turn of events.

The weather forecasters are walking on a tight rope. Suppose they sound a weather alert based on their predictions and the weather remains normal. In that case, they will have to bear the brunt as the government has to spend a massive amount as precautionary measures following a weather warning.
On the other hand, it becomes a life-threatening situation if an alert is not sounded and a calamity happens.

Forecasting Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 1 has been titled “Signal“.
At the beginning of the episode, we have Ha Kyung narrating the various signals that nature provides us, which we fail to identify.
As the episode progresses, we find Ha Kyung juggling between her professional and personal lives while being busy preparing for her upcoming wedding just a month away. Her mom, who doesn’t approve of the groom to be Han Ki-jun, takes her to a fortune teller.
The fortune-teller asks Ha Kyung not to be too careful in life, and Ha Kyung immediately brushes off this advice along with her prediction that it will rain.

On the professional front, Ha Kyung asks her colleague to ignore the upcoming hailstorm alert because of its low probability and also because of the significant expenses involved. When the hailstorm does happen, causing much damage, her team director is heavily reprimanded, causing him to have a severe heart attack.
He later resigned from his post, and Ha Kyung temporarily made the team’s director.
It so happens that the hailstorm was predicted by the intuitive forecaster Lee Si-woo, who, along with his experience, trusts his gut feelings in this matter, and more often than not, is right in his predictions. He later predicts heavy rains, which Ha Kyung again brushes off but her colleague, taking a cue from the prior experience, sounds an alert anyway.
Heavy rains did happen, and the government’s preparedness averted a major crisis. Amidst all this, Ha Kyung keeps getting messages that her soon to be hubby, who also works in the same organisation, has not made payments for the wedding bookings, causing them to get cancelled.
When Ha Kyung goes to confront Han Ki-jun, to her utmost shock, she finds him in bed with her colleague, Chae Yoo-Jin. Then as the story jumps two months ahead, we find that the jerk Han Ki-jun dares to ask Ha Kyung for half of his share in whatever they had built together.

Forecasting Love and Weather Season 1 Episode 2 has been titled “Sensible Temperature”. The title refers to May’s moderate temperature, which is refusing to go up, much to the dismay of the weather forecasters.
Ha Kyung and Lee Si-woo, who has temporarily been moved to Kyung’s office, try to get to the bottom of the matter.
The episode begins again on the rainy day when Ha Kyung finds her soon to be husband with another girl, and all he could manage at that time was an insincere half baked apology to her!
After cancelling his engagement, Han Ki-jun married Chae Yoo-Jin, who had dumped Lee Si-woo for Han. We now know that Han Ki-jun has cheated Ha Kyung financially by overpricing the things they had bought for their apartment.
Ha Kyung shows him his place in front of the whole team and decides not to take up the offer to relocate to Switzerland. She and Lee Si-woo have plenty of drinks together, and the following day Ha Kyung finds herself in bed with Lee, who informs her that he has taken a permanent position in her team.
