AMD RDNA 2 graphics technology will be appearing in several new phones with the Samsung Exynos 2200 processors. Right now, we are still not sure about which phones will be equipped with this technology.

Samsung has now decided to provide its customers with some amazing graphics on their mobile devices. The graphics will be similar to those on the gaming consoles. This new feature will be implemented on smartphones equipped with the Samsung Exynos 2200 processor.

The Samsung Exynos 2200 chip was announced on Tuesday. This is just one week after Samsung had postponed unveiling their Exynos processor.

Further details about Samsung Exynos 2200 and the introduction of AMD RDNA 2 technology

With the introduction of AMD RDNA 2 technology, we will see that the Samsung Exynos 2200 processor will be really exceptional. AMD RDNA 2 also powers the graphics of Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. So we can surely imagine how powerful the chip will be when it is packed into a small mobile device.

This will be the first time AMD will use its RDNA 2 architecture in smartphones. This graphics technology will be put inside the processor through a dedicated graphics processing unit- Xclipse.

This GPU will end the old era of gaming smartphones and will be the torchbearer of a new gaming revolution in smartphones.

Ray Tracing is a feature available in heavy-duty gaming consoles and graphics cards. Now that it is available on smartphones, it really will be a big deal. We will see some realistic graphics, shadows and lighting on the games, which will support this technology.

Another graphics optimisation process known as Variable Rate Shading will also be seen. This can streamline the shading of the pixels in a game which can help provide higher frame rates by freeing up the resources of the GPU.

The Samsung Exynos 2200 processor is manufactured using a 4-nanometer cutting edge process. This process will prolong the battery life, as mentioned by the company.

We have not seen any benchmark of the processor till now, but we can surely say that Samsung has planned to step up the game with their new chip. If you check out the product page of the processor, then you will see a GIF for PUBG New State. The GPU or the CPU’s clock speeds have not yet been revealed.

Another question striking our minds is that we are still unsure which phone will come equipped with this processor. The company is yet to announce its upcoming flagship smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S22 might be announced sometime in the next month.

It has been a general trend to see the Exynos chips being equipped in the Samsung flagships in Asia and Europe. When these phones are launched in the United States, they come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor chipsets.

AMD has clearly mentioned that this is just the beginning of its partnership with Samsung. The new Xclipse GPU is just the beginning, and there will be many more such GPUs with massive upgrades in the upcoming times.

Some reports state that Samsung Exynos 2200 processor is currently under mass production. The chip also sports a 5G modem, an ARM CPU processor with eight cores. The camera sensor can support up to 200 megapixels.
