After the sequel of The Karate Kid franchise, Cobra Kai was repositioned from YouTube to Netflix; it garnered a new legion of fanatics and is even considered to be one of the best shows on the streaming service.
Ever since Netflix dropped Season 4 of the American martial arts comedy-drama series Cobra Kai, fans have been crazy for the fifth season.
The Cobra Kai fanatics wait in anticipation for the release of Cobra Kai’s season 5 on Netflix, and rumours and fan theories abound about what will happen next.
So, what will go down in Season 5? Let’s run down some of the most notable theories.
A new Cobra may ascend to power:
“You don’t have to worry about me. I’m a LaRusso Dad, and I can definitely handle myself.”- says Samantha LaRusso in Cobra Kai
Even after doing everything that both her sensei instructed her to, Samantha still failed. The frustration on Samantha was distinctly visible in this season. She is now on a powerful path. She now considers that neither Miyagi-Do nor Eagle Fang actually works correctly.
In Cobra Kai season 5, she probably would be on the lookout for something even more powerful. And that is precisely what Cobra Kai offers – raw and matchless dominion. Samantha is just mere inches away from entering Cobra Kai.
Mike Barnes will turn out to be Miguel’s father:
Not much can be comprehended about Mike Barnes’s early life. But it is discovered that he is a proficient and ferocious karate combatant who has won considerable karate tournaments in the past with slight care for his opponents’ well being. Because of that attitude, he got the nickname “Karate’s Bad Boy” in a publication.
Some fanatics assert that Miguel’s actions and life journey closely reflect Mike Barnes’s, suggesting that Mike might be Miguel’s birth father.
Julie Pierce may be back with a bang:
Julie Pierce has gone on to become one of the biggest names to emerge from the franchise. Although there have been a few references about Julie’s character in the series, Julie’s life after the events of The Next Karate Kid is ambiguous.
However, the writers of Cobra Kai; Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg, have shed some light on Julie’s life story after she met Mr Miyagi, where they said.
“In our writers’ room, we talk about each and every character that has once appeared in the Miyagi-verse, so it’s quite evident that we’ve talked about Julie Pierce. As to whether or not she’ll come back to the series, that’s something you’ll just have to wait to finally find out.”
As the first and, possibly, the most beloved characters of Cobra Kai’s next era of the karate kids, the show would never be the same without Miguel. Luckily, fans don’t have to fear that Miguel will disappear from Cobra Kai.
Sensei Lawrence will presumably bring Miguel home from Mexico.
Will Tory join Miyagi-Do?
Tory has been showing some signs of change. She has already witnessed up close how crooked Terry Silver is. He even went as far as bribing the ref to guarantee Cobra Kai wins. Tory never liked playing dirty to win.
When she was asked to elbow Samantha during the tournament, she refused, saying she could take her on without using such cheap ploys. Tory will confront Terry about his wrongdoings in the season 4 All-Valley tournament one day or another.
And when she does leave, she will uncover a new home in Cobra Kai.
What will John Kreese do after Silver’s betrayal?
Kreese instantly felt something was wrong when Silver first joined the Cobra Kai dojo, and he opposed the way his old friend taught his students. Terry started an instant competition between himself and John, but Kreese never suspected that he had the upper hand.
As we all know, John Kreese is a power that just cannot be controlled. He will undoubtedly leap back, and his return will come with the most immediate acts of vengeance.
A lifetime Cobra, Kreese will need allies to take Silver own.
