Levi Ackerman, also known as humanity’s most powerful soldier, is the head of the Special Operations Squad within the Survey Corps.

Despite his power, the identity of Levi’s father in Attack on Titan has always been an enigma to the audience.

How did Levi’s early life affect him in Attack on Titan?

Levi’s life originated in the slums of the Underground with his mother, Kuchel Ackerman, a prostitute who raised her son single-handedly as she was impregnated by one of her clients.

So the identity of Levi’s father in Attack of Titan has always been a mystery to the fans.

Although Kuchel battled to provide financially as a single parent, she loved her son and did everything that she could to take care of him.

Regardless of her efforts, they were poverty-stricken, and filth was inevitable as they lived beneath a city. As a result of his early life, Levi is portrayed as a clean freak.

Who is Kenny Ackerman in Attack on Titan?

One day, Kenny Ackerman, Kuchel’s elder brother, went to the Underground to see her, only to find her dead. There he found Levi in an emaciated state and decided to take care of him in a rare showing of sympathy.

Kenny was a cold-blooded killer who earned the nickname “Kenny the Reaper” from his preferred method of murder.

As a result, Kenny’s parenting style is solely governed by the principle of survival; he prioritizes teaching Levi combat skills necessary for living among bandits, frauds, and murderers.

Once Kenny is satisfied with Levi’s ability to survive, he abandons him. Levi then becomes an infamous thug but eventually meets Erwin Smith, the Commander of the Survey Corps and joins the Survey Corps. He ends up becoming one of Erwin’s most trusted men.

How was Levi’s life after joining the Survey Corps?

Despite his obedience towards Erwin, Levi operates somewhat independently as the squad captain of an elite squad also referred to as the “Levi Squad”. Many of his Titan kills are solo.

Levi has a strong sense of righteousness and empathy. He has an intimidating physical strength which is apparent by his proficiency in vertical manoeuvring equipment.

His battle skill is different from almost any other soldier. In addition to his exceptional combat skill, he also has an intense ability to analyze situations and make tactical decisions amidst the battle promptly.

Being a part of the Ackerman clan, Levi has “awakened” a passive power within himself. This ability also prevents him from having his memory wiped.

Levi has an unusual fighting stance that involves holding his right sword backhanded with the blade facing out and being behind him instead in his front, allowing him to maintain swiftness and agility while fighting. This stance also helps him keep his energy up without wasting stamina for no purpose.

The identity of Levi’s father has still not been mentioned in the anime or manga yet. Follow MediaScrolls to know more about Levi’s father in Attack on Titan.
