A priestess of the Cult of the Lionheaded Spider, also known as Coram Agh Tera, had given him a curse. This curse tuned his face into the face of a boar. Then after Nivellen’s lover dies, we see Geralt and Ciri leaving.

Later on, it was revealed that he had received the curse because he had sexually assaulted the priestess.

Both of them finally reach Kaer Morhen, which is the den of all the witchers. When Tetra was assaulted over there, this place was almost destroyed. But Geralt and all the other Witchers visit this place every winter.

Vesemir (played by Kim Bodnia) runs this place. He is like a father figure to Geralt and several other new witchers. When Tetra was attacked, most of the magical substances and knowledge collected over the centuries had been destroyed.

Currently, there are a total of 20 of them in the world.

As the events progress in The Witcher Season 2, we see that Geralt has to kill one of them, Eskel. Eskel was turning into a forest monster (a.k.a Kesha), and hence he had to be ended.

Everyone was surprised by the power of the leshy because, in general, the leshy is not that powerful.

Further, Geralt, Vesemir and the others get to know that there are many other monsters in the world, all of which are drawn towards Ciri.

After that, we see Anna Shaffer’s character, Triss Merigold, come to Kare Morhen to support Ciri in growing her powers in The Witcher Season 2. She gets to know that Ciri had already knocked over a monolith with her abilities in Cintra.

She then sends Geralt to talk to Istredd, who is currently working with the Nilfgaardians. They find out that these monoliths are all portals to several other spheres in this world.

All the new monsters coming into the show will be using the portal to go into their world.

When Geralt returns to Kare Morhen, he stops Vesemir from making Ciri a Witcher. The older witcher had made a promise to do it for her Elder Blood. She is then taken to the Temple of Melitele.

Over there, he reunites with Yennefer, who was thought to be dead.

Towards the ending of The Witcher Season 2, we see that a powerful sorcerer, Rience, who has the power of fire magic, attacks the temple. Yennefer leaves with Ciri in this situation.

Geralt then understands that the love of his life has betrayed him. He starts looking for them and ultimately finds them at the outskirts of Cintra with the help of Dwarven allies led by Jaskier (played by Joey Batey).

In The Witcher Season 2, we then see that Geralt realizes who the person is behind the entire turn of events. He then goes to meet Voleth Meir or the Deathless Mother. He is a demon who was imprisoned by the ancient mages.

Although Yennefer is unable to take Ciri to Cintra, we see that Voleth finally possesses Ciri when he gets free.

They are then shifted to another portal which was opened by Curi when Voleth possessed her. They saw all the monsters joining the Wild Hunt before returning to their world on reaching there.

We get to know in The Witcher Season 2 that Geralt and Yennefer cannot have children because of the process they had been put through while becoming a Witcher.
