A Recap of Riverdale Season 6 Episode 5
Riverdale Season 6 Episode 5 has been titled “The Jughead Paradox.”
Riverdale Season 6 Episode 5 eerily begins with viewers finding a dead body lying in front of the Riverdale town sign. Viewers also watch Archie coming back from the dead.
Elsewhere, Betty, Veronica, Nana Rose, Cheryl, Toni, and Fangs talk about the supernatural happenings around Riverdale. It makes Jughead feel uneasy, and all of it seems pretty surreal to him.

Later, Jughead attends his first day in school as a teacher, where he finds the childhood versions of himself and his friends roaming around. He also sees Ben Button, who was long dead.
Viewers also find that Archie and Betty are tying the knot, and Jughead will be their Best Man.
Dr Curdle tells Betty about Jughead’s strangled body being found near the Riverdale town sign. Jughead is shocked to hear this and goes to the mortuary to have a look.
The body happens to be an exact version of Jughead. After going through its belongings, Jughead finds an entire range of Archie comic books from the worlds of Riverdale and Rivervale, including Rivervale: The Jughead Paradox.
Jughead finds all the previous happenings of the show being contained in the comic books. It makes Jughead realize that Rivervale is a warped reflection of Riverdale in some parallel universe.
Jughead finds himself in a time warp, where he sees dead people and images of himself from another timeline. He also meets Jason Blossom, Dilton Doiley, and Ethel Muggs, who are already dead, but surprisingly, nobody except Jughead remembers those deaths.
There are also two versions of Reggie. One is his high school version, and the other is his present version, with both vying for Veronica’s attention and dying after dueling over her.

Later, Jason is kidnapped by Black Hood. Jughead, Sheriff Keller and Archie, unmask the killer and find him to be Clifford Blossom.
Later, Toni announces the death of Cheryl Blossom.
Riverdale Season 6 Episode 6 Ending Explained: What Happens To Archie and Jughead?
Jughead tells Veronica that they have to experience the bomb blast together again to separate the parallel universe of Riverdale and Rivervale, which was created due to the bomb blast at Archie’s place.
When Archie realizes what Jughead is trying to do, he kills Veronica and tries to strangle Jughead as well. It turns out that it was Archie who had killed Cheryl. Viewers find Archie to be the antagonist in this parallel universe of Riverdale. He does this, hoping to see his dead father, Fred Andrews, again because “everyone comes back to life in Rivervale”.
Meanwhile, Betty, still in her wedding dress, kills Archie saying, “You don’t keep a Cooper waiting at the altar,” an epic dialogue that viewers will remember for a long time.
Betty and Jughead again try to recreate the events and separate the parallel worlds of Riverdale and Rivervale, but Archie again chases them after returning from the dead.

Jughead realizes that only by recreating the event that gave birth to Rivervale in the first place they will be able to separate the two worlds.
When Jughead and Betty prepare to do this, Jughead from Rivervale appears and suggests another path to separate the two universes without any violence. He suggests that Jughead should use his writing skills to write the fate of Riverdale.
To change Riverdale’s fate, Jughead becomes the story generator of the town. He keeps on writing stories about the lives of people of Riverdale, himself living in isolation forever in Dilton’s bunker, where Betty seals him in with his typewriter.
Betty then waits for the bomb blast, which does not occur because the narrator Jughead has written the bomb out of existence. Jughead also stops Archie and makes Veronica and Cheryl alive again.
How Do Archie and Betty Survive The Bomb Blast?
Archie and Betty manage to survive the bomb blast because Rivervale’s Jughead makes a phone call to them, warning them about the bomb under their bed.
Archie and Betty manage to escape from there, right before the bomb goes off.
The addition of elements of horror, the supernatural, and the parallel universe angle has made Riverdale Season 6 Episode 5 a gripping tale to watch.
