Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 228 Recap of Kawaki’s path to becoming a Shinobi.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 228 was not what we expected. We all expected Kawaki to be motivated to become a Shinobi, but he wants to become strong and does not realize that teamwork is essential.

Kawaki had first been assigned a D-Rank mission to capture a bear causing trouble near the village. He had to work with Denki, Iwabe, and Metal Lee, but he did not show any seriousness towards the mission.

He slacked off and fell asleep during the mission jeopardizing the plan. He did not block the bear’s path, and thus, it was almost about to escape, but Metal and Iwabe managed to stop him, and Denki captured him with a Lightning net.

In the process, Metal was hurt as the bear attacked him. Similarly, for his next mission, Kawaki had to work with Wasabi and her team to find and stop a boy who had run away from his home.

He was not to be harmed and brought back safely to his parents, but Kawaki unintentionally scared the child during the mission, and he lost consciousness.

Also, team Wasabi and Kawaki were scolded for not completing the mission successfully as a complaint was filed against them to the Hokage. Kawaki believes that he is not suited to being a Shinobi.

It turns out that Kawaki was sleepy and not attentive as he did not understand the seriousness of the mission and being in the team.

In a team, one has to trust their comrades and put their lives in the hands of their friends. Kawaki had been training all night for many days now to become stronger.

Kawaki has now been assigned a C-Rank mission to guard and escort a child from the Land of Seas as he carries valuable and expensive items.

He has to do this mission with Shikadai and Chocho, which will be his final test to become a Genin. If he can complete this mission, he will become a Genin of the leaf village.

He has been working on his skills and practising Jutsu’s to become stronger. Naruto is worried that he might become lonely if he could not make friends with others. Naruto truly understands the situation Kawaki is in as he had experienced the same.

Boruto tries to talk to Kawaki and make him understand, but words are not enough as Kawaki needs to feel it for himself. Kawaki runs out of the house. Later he meets up with Sarada, who had been training at night.

They both chat for some time, and Sarada expresses how she wants to become stronger like the Lord Seventh Hokage and protect her village.

She also adds how teamwork can make them stronger and that Kawaki is now a part of the village as well.

Kawaki heads out to train but now has realized a thing or two. He will head out to complete his C-Rank mission tomorrow with Shikadai and Chocho.

What lies ahead in their mission is still a mystery, and we must wait till the coming Sunday to find out.

Will this mission be dangerous? Will Kawaki and others be able to complete it safely? What if they fall into an enemy trap and get separated?

Will Kawaki be able to protect the child from the Land of Seas? This coming Sunday, let’s find out how this mission turns out and how Kawaki transforms into a Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf village.
