Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 227 Recap “Team 7’s last mission”.
The episode begins with Sarada being happy about becoming a Chunnin. The ceremony is due in three days and she is excited to be recognized as a Chunnin but at the same time is sad because from then she would lead the Team 7 and Konohamaru will no longer be their Captain.
After Sarada’s promotion to Chunnin, she will lead Team 7 as their new Captain, and they will work as a three-man squad.
The trio, worried about Konohamaru being depressed about getting away from the team, visits him but finds out that he had gone on a mission with Mirai Sarutobi, a Chunnin.
The following day, they discover Mirai unconscious on the gates of the hidden leaf village. She had been poisoned and was under critical care of Sakura, Sarada’s mother and the head of leaf village’s Medical Unit.
Later on, Mirai returned to consciousness and revealed that the village where they had their mission and were escorting a young married couple was under the control of a criminal, Hyogo of a hundred faces.

He has influence in the underworld and was also listed in the Bingo Book. He had all the villagers at hostage and had taken over the village. Since so many lives were in danger, Konohamaru allowed himself to be tied.
They had poisoned Mirai and she escaped, they believed that she would die in the forest and could never make it back to the village.
Hyogo had his gang beat up Konohamaru to gather any intel on the village but Konohamaru would not leak any information.
He was a Jonnin, high ranked as well, and could have taken down all the criminals all by himself if there had been no civilians as hostage.
Later, with Naruto and Shikamaru’s permission Sarada, Mitsuki, and Boruto head out to assist Konohamaru and provide him backup.
They reached the village soon to find Konohamaru tied with his hand behind his back and a couple in the same way behind him.
Team 7 already knew that Konohamaru could take down all the criminals by himself but if he was not doing anything, it meant there was something else in the picture as well.
They figured out that the whole village was under the control of a criminal organization and everyone there was held, hostage.
Also, they figured out that during the night, due to the huge density of trees around the village and its height, clouds settle down creating thick fog and thus making it unable to see anything.
Boruto transformed into a young woman and pretended to have lost. He now came close to Konohamru. As the fog settled in, he attacked the nearest criminals, and at the same time, Sarada secretly rescued the couple being escorted by Konohamru and Mirai.
In the meantime, Konohamaru had also freed himself and taken down all the criminals in front of him. Meanwhile, Mitsuki used his snake to knock unconscious all the other criminals who had villagers as hostages.

Thus Team 7 successfully took down the Hyogo gang in a flash. Konohamru took down Hyogo with a single Rasengan attack; therefore, all the villagers were rescued.
Team 7 completed their final mission together with Konohamaru as their Captain. The following day Sarada Uchiha, Wasabi Izuno, Denki Kaminarimon, and Houki Takemichi were appointed as new Chunnin and the captains of their respective teams.
The next day, Naruto and Shikamaru call Kawaki and inform him that if he wishes to become a Gennin then he would have to join a D-Rank mission.
They would assess his abilities and how successfully he completes the mission. The overall task will decide whether he can become a Gennin or not.
What do you think lies ahead for him? Would the mission be easy for him? Or what if he fails in his mission? If he becomes a Gennin, will he become a Team 7 to complete them as a four-person squad?
