Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui also told Tanjiro and his friends that the demons there are powerful and must be sharp to prevent themselves from getting killed.

One more important question is: What is the demon king Muzan Kibutsuji up to? Why is he in search of the Blue Spider Lily? What could this plant be used for? And why did he send an Upper Demon Moon to find it? Is it that important?

Not only that, how strong is the demon King Muzan if he was able to almost kill the Upper Demon Moon Three Akaza with just a flick of his finger? Could he be stronger than all the Demon Slayer Hashira’s put together? Is it even possible to defeat him?

What if the Blue Spider Lily he is searching for could be used to provide demons with the ability to survive even in sunlight? If this happens, it could mean the end of the human race.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Entertainment District Arc Episode 1 Recap: Who is the Sound Hashira? Why is Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji disguised as a child now?

Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 1 was released this Sunday, worthy of its preview.

The tragic death of the Flame Hashira had everyone in grief.

Especially Tanjiro and Inosuke were devastated after watching him breathe his last with their own eyes.

Tanjiro was furious with mixed emotions. He was angry towards Akaza for killing Kyojuro and at the same time sad due to his death and feeling guilty that he couldn’t save him.

Tanjiro performed the Hinokami Kagura and threw his sword using the total concentration of breathing towards Akaza with such a force that it passes right through his super-strong body.

Akaza escaped death as the sword did not harm his neck but passed through his back and chest.

Tanjiro cursed him for killing Rengoku and called him a coward.

Akaza still ran away from them as the sun rose, and if rays touched him, he would have burned alive instantly.

Later, the Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji disguised as a child and lived with humans as their adopted child.

He had tricked the humans and fooled them. His human parents believed in him and considered him as their child.

This is probably why none of the Hashira had ever been able to find Muzan. He changed his forms, disguised himself as different people, and lived with humans.

Upper Demon Moon Three, Akaza reports to Muzan. Muzan had sent Akaza to search for a plant known by the name of Blue Spider Lily.

But Akaza couldn’t find it and had to return empty-handed as he could not find it nor could get any information regarding the plant.

He also boasted that he had killed one Hashira for Muzan, but Muzan got furious.

He pointed his index finger at Akaza, which was enough to shake him to his core.

Akaza’s body could barely manage against the tremendous power of a single finger of the demon king.

He could not move and under tremendous pain and blood dripped from his mouth.

Muzan scolded him for letting Tanjiro and his friends live and told him that he wanted the entire Demon Slayer Corps dead, and it doesn’t matter to him if one of the Hashira was killed.

He also embarrassed him for suffering a blow by Tanjiro’s sword through his body as Tanjiro was not even close to a Hashira yet managed to attack Akaza and made him run away for his life.

Akaza left the place later after Muzan’s permission and cursed Tanjiro.

He swore to regain his pride by killing Tanjiro the next chance he got.

He also destroyed Tanjiro’s sword, which was stuck in his back as he released his frustration on the sword.

After the incident, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu were brought to the Butterfly Mansion at the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho’s place. Tanjiro and Inosuke were in miserable condition.

After a few days, while still under-recovery, Tanjiro left the mansion on his own and followed Rengoku’s crow to find his brother and father so that he could convey Rengoku’s last wishes to them.

When he reached there, he found Senjuro, Kyojuro’s younger brother, and told him that he was there to relay Rengoku’s last words that he left for him and their father.

Kyojuro’s father and the former Flame Hashira arrive and call Kyojuro worthless and fool. He badmouthed him completely and called him trash.

Tanjiro could not take it any longer and stand against Kyojuro’s father for talking about Kyojuro that way.

But when he saw Tanjiro’s earings, his eyes widened in surprise and anger.

He called him the wielder of the Sun Breathing technique.

He also said that all the breathing techniques, Wind, Water, Lightning, Fire, and Stone, are derived from Sun Breathing.

Within a flash, he attacked Tanjiro and pinned him to the ground.

When Senjuro interrupted to stop them, he slapped him hard and threw him away.

He attacked Kyojuro’s father, but he was against a former Hashira.

He knew about the earings and Sun Breathing because he read it in the legendary manuals of Flame Breathing left by previous Hashira.

Tanjiro asked him about the Hinokami Kagura and told him that he had not mastered it yet, but the former was in no way listening.

Tanjiro is still confused about his family’s tradition of charcoal vendors and the Hinokami Kagura.

He attacked Rengoku’s father but was no match against him but managed to headbutt him hard for badmouthing Kyojuro, whom Tanjiro admired.

Later Tanjiro explained Kyojuro’s death and his last wishes and words to Senjuro, his younger brother.

Senjuro also showed Tanjiro the Record of the Twenty-First Flame Hashira. The book Kyojuro told Tanjiro about.

To their surprise, Kyojuro’s father had torn the book to pieces.

Tanjiro thanked him and returned to Butterfly Mansion as the heavy burden on his heart had reduced.

Now determined to train harder, he and his two friends trained for four months.

They also completed solo missions during that time but grew a lot stronger.

Tanjiro also received a new sword, his third sword to date, after getting his first two destroyed.

Tanjiro returned after completing a mission to find the Sound Hashira taking girls from the Butterfly Mansion with him so that they could gather information for him in the Entertainment District.

None of them were swordsmen and thus would have been in grave danger, so Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu volunteered to accompany him. What awaits them in the Entertainment District?
