Money Heist Season 5 Part 2 begins with the audience seeing the result of all the disasters caused in the previous episode, with Tokyo’s monologue in the background.

One of the few soldiers who survive, named Sagasta, informs Colonel Luis Tamayo about the death of Tokyo and the rest of the soldiers in his team, except him, and the injury of two of the soldiers, Vāzquez and Arteche.

When Colonel Tamayo hears about the destruction caused to the soldiers, he asks them to abort the mission, but they insist that they want to complete it.

Major Sagasta then devises the plan to pretend to negotiate with the Professor’s team while making Arteche their secret weapon.

He informs Palermo that one of his men is injured.

Both the parties agree to call a surgeon inside, and Major Sagasta surrenders himself.

Two surgeons enter the Bank of Spain, who treat the injured soldier and Helsinki.

Lisbon and Rio share a video of them mourning the death of seven people, including Tokyo, to the world.

This video gets them even more support from the crowd, despite Lisbon saying that they no longer want them to follow or cheer for them.

She also apologizes for turning a rescue mission into a war with casualties.

In a flashback, we see Berlin preparing for the heist with Marseille, Palermo, and Bogotā by stealing the extraction pump from an oil platform in Norway.

Then, we see Berlin and Palermo explaining the plan to rob the Bank of Spain to the Professor.

Unlike Berlin, Professor is very sceptical about the plan and keeps asking questions about the problems they might face. Palermo explains all the technical details.

The plan is to take the gold upstream after taking it out of the Bank of Spain because the police would be able to guess if they take it downstream.

Inside the Bank of Spain, the Professor’s team begins sending grains of gold outside, and Benjamin and his team starts making ingots outside.

He puts Benjamin in charge while he and Marseille follow Alicia Sierra.

Sierra gets the better of them and captures the Professor.

She ties him, puts him at the back of a car, and drives to Colonel Tamayo’s house.

When Colonel Tamayo arrives home, he finds Sierra having captured his wife.

Sierra says she would hand over the Professor to Tamayo if he agrees to retract all the lies he told about her, take full responsibility, and resign.

Tamayo refuses and says that catching the Professor would do him no good if he has to go to prison.

So, he would not risk his life just to catch the Professor, and he informs her that the police would reach his house any moment.

In the meantime, the Professor flees from the car and enters Colonel Tamayo’s building.

When the cops arrive, Sierra tries to run away and realizes that the Professor is the only person who can save her and her child.

Colonel Tamayo instructs the police to declare an emergency in the area, and the cops search every house.

However, the Professor, Sierra and her baby manage to hide from the police in one of the empty apartments using the Professors quick wit.

Seeing how Professor takes care of her and her daughter, Victoria, Sierra finally breaks down and realizes that it would be the best option to join the Professor’s side.

They also become friends in this emotional moment, even though she denies it.

Amidst all the chaos, Denver kisses Manila. However, they realize their mistake and tell Stockholm about it.

Denver confesses to Stockholm that he feels that he has more in common with Manila than with her.

He also comes clean about lying about going to parties for days because he was embarrassed.

Denver tells her that he is scared to show his crazy side to her because Denver keeps feeling like he is not good enough for her.

What Happens To Berlin’s Son, Rafael, and His Wife, Tatiana, in Money Heist Season 5 Part 2?

Do the Professor and His Team Have To Surrender To The Police in Money Heist Season 5 Part 2?

Major Sagasta and Arteche’s plan comes to action when Arteche secretly crawls through the ventilation ducts and deactivates all the locks in the Bank of Spain.

After getting a signal from both of them, a huge army enters the Bank of Spain from all sides and successfully captures all the members of the Professor’s team.

When Colonel Tamayo informs the Professor about it, the Professor decides to surrender to the police.

He says that he wants to be there with his gang and does not want them to face the consequences alone.

Colonel Tamayo, his team, and the government also find out that all the gold has been emptied from the vault of the Bank of Spain.

The Professor asks Alicia Sierra to find the stolen gold as he knows that she is the best at her job, considering the fact that she was the only person who could find him.

The Professor reaches the Bank of Spain and enters the building through the front gate in front of a big crowd.

His team also released a video revealing that they have stolen Spain’s national reserve, which would profoundly affect the country’s economy.

The Professor knows that this would crumble the stock market, leading to massive pressure on the government.

Meanwhile, Sierra realizes that the only place where Rafael and Tatiana could have hidden the gold would be some private property.

Money Heist Season 5 Part 2 Ending Explained: Does the Government of Spain Gives Professor and his gang a free passage? 

In another flashback, the Professor and Berlin talk about their childhood and tell Rafael how their father inspired them to become thieves.

The Professors reminisces seeing his father’s death in front of his own eyes, and Berlin says that being a thief is his family tradition.

Back to the present, a significant event takes place when the Professor proposes to Lisbon amidst all the chaos and with their hands tied up.

This event gives the viewers hope that the Professor definitely has another plan up the sleeve that gives him the confidence to think about his future.

The government of Spain is under a lot of pressure because of the stock market crumbling down.

So, Colonel Tamayo is finally forced to negotiate with him after torturing him into telling him about the gold several times.

The Professor asks Colonel Tamayo to hold a press conference announcing that the police have recovered all the gold, promising that a truck containing the gold would arrive in front of the Bank of Spain as soon as he makes this announcement.

It follows a big revelation when we find out that the Professor had planned to return ingots of brass instead of gold.

He says that the gold kept in a country’s treasury is never used to pay anything but is merely a psychological backup.

The significance of the heist pulled off by Berlin and Rafael in Denmark in Season 5 Part 1 is finally revealed in Money Heist Season 5 Part 2.

Denver had been arrested and brought outside the bank earlier.

However, the story isn’t over yet as the final big surprise of Money Heist Season 5 Part 2 is revealed in the last scene.

All the Professor’s team members, including Denver, are revealed to be alive.

The government of Spain secretly gives all of the team members new identities and escorts them to different countries to protect their country’s reputation.

It is also revealed that the Professor has convinced Rafael to give up the gold after promising to give him a portion of it.
