Tiger King Season 1 premiered on March 20, 2020, on Netflix. It had seven episodes and one special episode.
One and a half years later, Netflix announced the return of Tiger King, and Tiger King Season 2 was premiered on November 17, 2021. It had five episodes of 40 to 45 minutes each.

John Exotic
Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage, the actual name of Joe Exotic, a self-made man, has tried his hand in multiple professions.


He has formally been a cop, a zoo owner, an exotic animal breeder, has released two country music albums, done online talk shows, and released his autobiography called “Tiger King: The Official Tell-All Memoir.”
Quite a controversial figure, Joe Exotic was found guilty of 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two cases of attempted murder-for-hire plots, which earned him 22 years of prison, which he is currently serving.
He has challenged the conviction in court.
Joe Exotic had allegedly hired men to kill the activist, Carole Baskin.
Joe’s love life is also no less controversial.
His first spouse, Travis Maldonado, accidentally shot himself on the grounds of Greater Wynnewood Park.
Later, Joe married Dillon Passage, and the couple seemed inseparable until Joe’s arrest. Dillon later announced that they were seeking a divorce.

Tim Stark


Tim Stark was fined considerable sums for violating the Animal Welfare Act and also as legal fees to PETA.

Carole Baskin


Carole Baskin decided to leave the show after the first season of Tiger King because she was not very pleased with her portrayal.

James Garretson
James Garretson owns a water sports company in South Florida. He also maintains an Instagram account in which he mocks Carole Baskin that she has murdered her second husband, Don Lewis.

Jeff Lowe has lost the ownership of Great Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park and also had his new facility raided.
Along with his wife, he was arrested on DUI charges and sued for non-payment of rent. He also owes tax money to the State of Oklahoma and is a wanted man in Las Vegas.
Allen Grover
Allen Grover was arrested for driving under the influence and on a suspended license in August 2021. He tries to avoid all sorts of public interaction.
Eric Lowe
Eric Lowe, a millionaire philanthropist and a retired police officer, currently runs a non-profit organization named “Project Love Love” with his wife, Lisa.

Don Lewis’s three daughters, Donna Pettis, Lynda Sanchez, and Gale Rathbone, currently live in Dade City, Florida, where they are fighting to get justice for their father.

Erik Cowie
The former Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park head zookeeper, Erik Cowie, was found dead inside a Brooklyn apartment. Erik’s cause of death was revealed to be chronic alcohol use.
