Though, the below-mentioned release date is subject to change due to the prevailing situations of pandemics worldwide.

Upcoming Marvel phase 4 movies in chronological order

Eternals

Eternals is the first film of the league of Marvel Phase 4 films released in the theatres near you.

The film will be released on November 5, 2021.

The film’s first official trailer had already been released in May this year and was supposed to be released much earlier, but it was later pushed to a later date after Shang-Chi was made to release.

The film’s cast will be Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Don Lee as the Hulking Gilgamesh, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Apart from them, Kit Harrington, who was part of Game Thrones, would be playing the role of Black Knight in the Eternals.

Eternals would be coming up with new heroes of Marvel Phase 4, and we had a glimpse of their superpowers in the trailer from the reel shared by the official social media handle of Marvel Studios.

The film’s plot would be a bit different because this time, it would be dealing with the electric group that is returning; this group has been immortal.

The adventure that is associated with them would be likely to fill the universe.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

The second film on the list is Spider-Man: No Way Home; the film is said to be releasing on December 17, 2021.

The sophomore film on the list of Marvel Phase 4 films would comprise Spidey’s secret identity that has already been a big secret to everyone else apart from the viewers.

But, we see that the essence of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is not a secret now, and to fix this, he approaches Doctor Strange so that everyone forgets about the identity of Spider-Man.

Following some more theories that would dwell in the film would lead to splitting into theories of multi-universe.

The film’s trailer has also been released, and it gives us a glimpse of versions of Spider-Man and some villains.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

For Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, you need to wait for a long time after Spider-Man: No Way Home; the release date is slated to May 6, 2022, which means who would have to wait for six? Months after No Way Home is released.

Following the order, Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness could be labeled the third film of Marvel Phase 4 league.

It is said that this time the theory of the multiverse is set to expand its boundaries to Madness associated with Doctor Strange, tackling ways to deal with it.

Though, behind the scenes, there have been quite significant changes after Director Scott Derrickson.

He directed the original Doctor Strange left the team because citing creative difference with him also happens the departure of his writing partner, C. Robert Cargill.

Now, Sam Raimi, who has been the director of Spider-Man Trilogy, would be taking the lead with the third film of Marvel Phase 4 films.

Talking about the film’s casting team, we won’t be finding much difference with Benedict Cumberbatch returning as Doctor Strange, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Elizabeth Olsen.

The MCU newcomer America Chavez would be played by Xochitl Gomez shared her excitement of becoming a part of the MCU and, in turn, having an experience of working with director Sam Raimi.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Coming down, we have Thor: Love and Thunder, and this time there is a change.

We have a new Thor, and officially it is the Mighty Thor, and he is none other than Jane Foster.

The film will be released on July 8, 2022, and it was supposed to be the last film of Marvel Phase 4, but after the reshuffle, it’s not.

Talking about the film, Chris Hemsworth will return as OG God of Thunder, and the villain against him this time is none other than ex-Batman actor Christian Bale.

Tessa Thompson would be continuing for Valkyrie for the third straight time in MCU.

Recently, when Chris Hemsworth was asked about this film, he gave a bit of an insight that Taiki would be at his most extreme this time, and he assured that as every time this time to the legacy of Thor would continue, and this time it would be insane.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is all set to release on November 11, 2022, though this is a far-sighted date as of now and may be subject to change if there happens to be some alternation in Marvel Phase 4.

After the unfortunate of Chadwick Boseman, the filmmakers have decided that they won’t be replacing his character with any other cast for the film’s sequels.

According to Martin Freeman, who will be playing the role of Everett Ross in the movie, the film would be full of surprises like every time.

The Marvels

For this film, you would have to wait for around three straight years because the release date of The Marvels is slated on February 17, 2023.

Captain Marvel 2 is titled The Marvels, the change of name with this upcoming sequel was quite surprising for everyone.

Many details about the film’s plot are still unknown, but we know that the main antagonist in The Marvels would be Zawe Ashton, who has recently joined that cast of the film.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 would not be part of phase 5 films as we have perceived it before, but it would indeed be released on May 5, 2023, and thus becomes part of Marvel Phase 4 films.

More than the film itself, there has been a lot going behind the scenes as well, the director of the film was initially fired by Disney.

But later, he was re-hired to the franchise, and it is said that it would be his last film with the franchise because the Guardians of Galaxy 3 script didn’t turn out to be appealing with all the elements reboot only made it sluggish all through.

Will Poulter would be playing the role of Adam Warlock, and this was briefed to us in the post-credit scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Upcoming Marvel Phase 4 TV Shows in chronological order

The Marvel Phase 4 league for the TV shows has already begun at the start of this year.

Yes, Wandavision was the debut TV show of this league which was released in January this year.

The show’s set was quite different because each episode had something different story to tell, and this swing kept on moving till we reached the last episode of the show.

Then followed the reign of Falcon and Winter Soldiers, then came to the show stopper Loki which opened up some different dimensions to the multiverse time travels.

The Loki also introduced us to many variants, and the show’s makers wanted us to be just aware of the variants and not get a complete introduction to them.

So, taking specifically about Marvel Phase 4 shows that we have got four so far this year, and we are left with one or two more.

Wandavision, Falcon and the Winter Soldiers, Loki and What if…? Had already been through all this year.

Talking about the upcoming shows in the queue of Marvel Phase 4, TV shows are mentioned below with their release date and a bit of insight into their plot and cast details.

Hawkeye Series

Starting with the Hawkeye Series, it is set to release on November 24 this year. In this show, Clint Barton trains Kate Bishop to become a superhero without possessing the virtue of superpowers.

The possibility is also there for Black Widow having a glimpse up here in Hawkeye. The post-credits scenes of Marvel Phase 4 showed us that she would be recruited to take down Hawkeye.

Ms. Marvel

We saw this character in Captain Marvel 2, played by Iman Vellani, but the makers wanted to have this character in an individual TV show, ‘Ms. Marvel‘ in 2022. We cannot label this show entirely of Marvel Phase 4 league as it can be put halfway between phase 4 and phase 5 of Marvel films and performance.

Following this, we have shows of Beyond Phase 4 or Marvel Phase 5 films-

Blade

This movie is expected to release in October 2022. To break down into the bifurcation of phase, it doesn’t seem to be making part of Marvel Phase 5 films but part of Marvel Phase 4. The cynosure plot of the film deals with the eponymous vampire hunter.

Moon Knight– Marc Spector disguised as a crime fighter in this Disney Plus series

She-Hulk– Comedy series with Tatiana Maslany playing the role of Jennifer Walters

Secret Invasion-Samuel L. Jackson would be back again as Nick Fury in this upcoming Disney Plus Series.

Apart from that, we have- Ironheart, I am Groot, Ironheart, Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Armor Wars, Wakanda, Hawkeye spin-off Echo, Okoye spin-off, and Fantastic Four.

Marvel Phase 4- A new Avenger Movie around the Corner?

So, we won’t be having a new Avenger movie in the Marvel Phase 4 league of the film but certainly not a reason to be sad because we would be having one in phase 5.

The Avengers superhero would likely be returning with new superpowers in the phase 5 films of the franchise.

Challenging, there is no official confirmation about the intention of makers to go ahead with an avenger film, let alone the film’s release date.

Still, if we could make a possible deduction from following all the trends of Marvel Phase 4 films, we could expect a new Avenger film to be released somewhere in 2022.

But, till then, we have great Marvel films and TV shows. We have a sequel of almost all individual superheroes of the franchise for the following years or so.

Also, there has been news that Captain America 4 is around the corner, but the issue is that it’s still not confirmed.

Maybe the film is going through its pre-development work with Malcolm Spellman, showrunner of Captain America, and has also beautifully penned down The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in the past.

All in all, just as theatres are opening up, The Marvel franchise has shifted its gears up to come with back-to-back action-packed science fiction films and TV shows.
