What If Season 2 is something that the fans would be looking for after a marvelous first season. What If Season 1 just got over on Wednesday, and fans are now wondering when they will get to see the sequel of the show.
What If Season 1 was released in the month of August 2021. This is Marvel’s first animated show. In each episode of the show, we see a few characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who were all set in an alternate timeline.
In What If Season 1 Episode 1, we saw Peggy Carter became the person with the shield instead of Steve Rogers. She had consumed the super-soldier serum, which made her Captain America in the reality which was shown. In one particular episode, we were also given a glimpse of the situation of what would happen if all the avengers became zombies.
Marvel Cinematic Universe took an amazing step by letting all the fans see through the different alternate realities. This was an experiment that was very nicely conducted by Marvel, and the fans loved it so much that now all of them are waiting for What If Season 2.
What If Season 2 Release Date: When will it arrive?
The first season of the show had released on the 11th of August, 2021, exclusively on Disney+. There were a total of nine episodes in the first season. Each episode had a runtime of 30-35 minutes, and one episode came in every week.
The season came to an end on the 6th of October, 2021. Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, had made an announcement back in 2019 that the studio is indeed working on the second installment of the show, What If Season 2.
The production had to face huge problems and delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic. What If Episode 1 was supposed to come with more episodes, but it only ended up with nine of them. During the same time, announcements were also made about What If Season 2 and that it will be having nine episodes.

There are high chances that we will get to see a lot of them on-screen in What If Season 2 and in the further seasons that are yet to come. This can mean that the writing part for the upcoming season is already done.
A.C. Bradley has confirmed that the script for What If Season 2 is completely ready. All these states that we will get to see the upcoming episode soon in 2022.
Which characters can we expect to see in What If Season 2?
In the first season of the show, we got to see many of our favorite superheroes. The voice behind The Watcher was James Wright. The Watcher is actually a cosmic personality who keeps an eye on the events that are happening all across the multiverse.
The other known superheroes are all voiced by the actors who have played them in the movies. Samuel L. Jackson has given the voice for Nick Fury, Hayley Atwell has provided the voice for Peggy Carter or Captain Carter over here, Benedict Cumberbatch has given the voice for Dr. Stephen Strange, Mark Ruffalo has given the voice for Bruce Banner or the Hulk, Sebastian Stan has provided the voice for Bucky Barnes, Jeremy Renner has given the voice for Clint Barton, Chris Hemsworth has given the voice for Thor, and Tom Hiddleston has given the voice for Loki.

Mick Wingert has provided his voice for the character of Iron Man. Lake Bell has lent her voice for the character of Natasha Romanoff, and finally, Alexandra Daniels has lent her voice for Captain Marvel.
If Season 2 will definitely feature some new voice actors who will lend their voice for some MCU characters. The actors who have already given their voice will return for the second season only if they are available.
The voice of T’Challa was reprised by the late Chadwick Boseman in What If Season 1. Sadly we all know that he is no more, and if the character of T’Challa is seen in What If Season 2, it will be voiced by someone else.

What could be the expected plot of What If Season 2?
In What If Season 1, we see The Watcher guide the audience through the alternate realities. We got to see many of our favorite characters in completely different ways as compared to how we have seen them in the movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
All the stories in the individual episodes come to an end in the season finale as The Watcher finally breaks his vow of not interfering. He has to step in to protect the multiverse from the very dangerous Ultron. He brings many heroes from many places to help build an army against Ultron.
In What If Season 2, we will get to see several fresh individual stories that will revise some of our favorite moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In What If Season 2, we will definitely get to see an episode that has its full focus on Gamora and Tony Stark.
Captain Carter is another probable character who will be seen in What If Season 2 and will also be holding prime importance. Her stories will slowly be unfolded through several seasons of the show.
In What If Season 2, we will see a lot of episodes that will be totally focusing on the heroes whom we will see in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
