Meanwhile, Keeley is quite excited at being selected as the face of “Powerful woman on the rise” by the business issue of Vanity Fair. Vanity Fair has also proposed a photoshoot of her with Roy Kent.
While Keeley, Rebecca, and Ted are celebrating this news, Higgins announces that EdwinAkufo, a billionaire from Ghana and a football enthusiast, wishes to buy AFC Richmond. Edwin’s arrival on a helicopter landing straight on the pitch is a huge event, befitting the royalty.
Without mincing words, he clarifies to Rebecca that he has no intention of buying AFC Richmond but wants to buy Sam for the dream team he wishes to create and is ready to pay any price for it. It has them all stunned, especially Rebecca, who shares a special bond with Sam.
Edwin takes Sam out for a visit to the museum and then to dinner so that he can discuss his business proposal with Sam. At the museum, Edwin shows Sam a painting by Kelechi Nwaneri, a Nigerian artist. Edwin tells Sam that he has bought the artwork so that he can donate it to a Ghanian museum because, according to him, this piece belongs to Africa.
He later discloses to Sam that he has, in fact, bought the entire museum, and all the visitors are actually actors. He says that he does not like being a billionaire, and he plans to use his inheritance to “make better things and make things better.” Next, he tries to woo Sam with authentic West African food, and it turns out that the restaurant, too, belongs to him and the customers are just “friends.”
Edwin reveals that Sam is only the fourth person in the world to know that Edwin is going to buy the Moroccan team, Raja Casablanca, which he plans to fill with African players around the world, and that Sam can play an essential role in the team.
It is now quite evident that Edwin wants Sam in his dream team at any cost. He tries to impress him with not only his billions and philanthropic acts, but he also tries to influence upon him that being of African origin, it is Sam’s noble duty to play for an African team. Edwin’s offer seems to be too good for Sam to resist, and he is seen smiling while returning home. He is also seen informing his father about the proposal.
On returning home, Sam finds Rebecca at his doorstep. Rebecca says that she can’t provide him any answers about their relationship. She is aware that she can’t ask him not to leave but hopes that he does not leave.
Meanwhile, we get to see a very different Nate, who seems to be in a disgruntled mood and tells Beard and Roy that it is always Ted who steals the limelight and gets all the credit, while Nate always seems to be in shadow.
Later, he asks for Keeley’s help in buying a trending new suit. He asks Keeley whether she has ever had the urge to be the boss. She replies that Rebecca has inspired her a lot. Then, in an awkward moment, Nate kisses Keeley and then immediately apologizes to her. She brushes off his apology and tries to make him comfortable.
Roy goes to Phoebe’s school to pick her up and learns from her teacher, Ms. Bowen, that her mother had already picked her up. The teacher was busy preparing for the school’s art show, a charity fundraiser, and Roy offered a helping hand. They start to get into a conversation, and she asks if Roy is married.
Later, when Roy arrives at the photoshoot, he sees Keeley having a nervous breakdown. Roy’s pep talk lifts her mood, and they seem to be giving a brilliant photoshoot with sheer magic working between them.
They even start confessing to one another. Keeley tells him about the awkward moment with Nate, to which Roy tells about Phoebe’s teacher’s interest in his marital status. Then, when Keeley confesses that Jamie had said to her that he still loves her during the funeral, the magical moment seems to evaporate into thin air.
Meanwhile, with Dr. Sharon’s term being over with AFC Richmond, Ted plans a surprise farewell party for her. He chips in funds to give her some cash as a parting gift and also choreographs the team to perform NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” at the party.
However, when Ted goes to Sharon’s office to invite her, Higgins tells him that she has already left, leaving each of them a letter. It makes him very angry, and he confronts her in front of her apartment.
Sharon invites him in, and he expresses his anger saying that his father and wife have already abandoned him, and now, she plans to leave without even a proper goodbye. Sharon says that she is not comfortable with goodbyes and has explained everything in her letter.
Ted is reluctant to read her letter, but on Sharon’s insistence, he reads it, which immediately lifts his mood, though the contents of the letter are not revealed to the audience.
They head off for a drink together, where after a game of pinball, she orders two drinks while Ted goes to the washroom.
