The opening of Only Murders in the Building Episode 6 sees Detective Williams returning home, and it turns out that her wife is an avid follower of the team’s podcast and believes that Tim was murdered.
Elsewhere, Gustavo Mora, Mabel’s cousin and owner of Tavo’s tattoo shop, tells Mabel, Charles, Oliver, and Oscar that Tim had been looking for a specific jewelry item.
Mabel’s mother arrives at the tattoo shop, and they all go to Mabel’s place for dinner when Mabel discloses to Charles and Oliver all about Zoe’s death and the resulting events. At this point, Mabel even decides to leave the team after her mother requests her to do so.
Charles and Oliver return to their apartment building, Arconia, while Mabel and Oscar relive their past. On looking at a picture of Zoe, they realize that the piece of jewelry, the ring that Tim had been looking for, was with Zoe. However, it was missing from Zoe’s dead body.
Meanwhile, Teddy tells Charles and Oliver that Jimmy Fallon has mentioned their podcast on his show. Teddy is thrilled at the response the podcast is receiving, and he writes them a hefty cheque, which they decline, saying that they can’t continue the podcast without Mabel.
After having convinced her mother that she needs to get to the bottom of it all, Mabel again visits Charles and Oliver and apologizes to them. The trio now decides that this has now become personal and vows to continue with the investigation.
Only Murders in the Building Episode 6 Ending Explained
Towards the end of Only Murders in the Building Episode 6, Mabel discloses to Charles and Oliver about a package that has arrived.
It so happened that Detective Williams, who is in charge of investigating Tim’s supposed suicide, notices some discrepancies in the investigation and decides to dig deeper.
She finds that toxicology reports of the crime scene were never submitted, and Tim’s mobile phone, too, did not reach the IT department for further investigation.
Detective Williams has a feeling that some big names might be involved in this cover-up. So, while staying at the sidelines, she decides to help the team of Charles, Mabel, and Oliver, by providing some evidence to them. So, she sends a package containing Tim’s phone to Mabel.
Along with this breakthrough, the trio makes another significant discovery from the cheque that Teddy gave them. It was in the name of a company called Angel, Inc.
Charles and Oliver remember from their conversation with Teddy that his grandmother’s name was Evangelica. So, the team now has a new prime suspect in the form of Teddy because of his family’s jewelry connection.
