We were introduced to Dimple, a run-off-mill spirit who was defeated by Mob. Even after his defeat, he has followed Mob everywhere. Dimple desires to take over Mob or his brother’s body, but even with his desire for revenge and being a villain, he still has helped Mob and his brother many times.
He shows that he wants Mob’s body, but we can see that deep inside; he cares for him. Dimple can be considered one of the main characters of the series who steals the show despite being a villain.
Here are some of the best moments of Dimple from the Mob Psycho 100 Anime
1) When Dimple breaks Mob free from Mogami’s illusion.
Keiji Mogami traps Mob in an illusion where he makes him believe that he does not have any psychic powers. Mob believes himself to be worthless and lonely.
This could have torn him apart, and he would have been in the false world forever if not for Dimple, who stepped in the illusion and snapped Mob out of his dream and thereafter defeats Keiji Mogami.
2) When Dimple helps Mob to defend his right to prevent Innocent Spirits from being Exorcise.
In the second season of Mob Psycho 100, Reigen and Mob are tasked to exorcise a family of spirits. They find out that these spirits are innocent and have not caused any harm.
But Reigen is forced by her client to exorcise innocent spirits. Reigen and Dimple support Mob by defending his rights, and Dimple helps him prove that innocent spirits need not be exorcised.
Dimple thus helped Mob to decide his course of action, and without his help, Mob would have never been able to find a solution and decide what to do on his own also, he would have never been confident in his decision.
3) When Dimple lies to Mob about his parents
During a fight, Sho burns down Mob’s House, and in the ruins of his house, Mob discovers dead bodies, most apparently of his parents. This enrages him, and such emotional impact raises his psychic powers beyond 100 percent.
This being dangerous to himself and others around him, Dimple attempts to calm him down. He helps him focus on something other than the house to help him control his emotions.
With Reigen’s help, he tries to convince him that those bodies need not be of his parents and that they might be alive. It was later found to be true. During his tantrum, Dimple controls him with Reigen’s help and prevents him from doing something wrong.
4) Dimple was a Valuable asset whenever he interacted with Reigen
One of the duo relationships in the series is that of Dimple and Reigen. It is full of sass and reluctant acceptance. They both try to work together, but when it comes to helping Mob or protecting him, they irritate each other more than usual.
Dimple openly criticizes Reigen, he does it sarcastically, and those taunts and jokes make it more fun to watch. This is good in a way because there is someone who points Reigen’s mistakes as Mob would never do so.
5) When Dimple became Mob’s companion
Dimple is the most suspicious character as after being defeated at Mob’s hands, he still decides to become Mob’s companion. He intends to take over his body, and for the same reason, he befriends him.
Even this part proves good for Mob as he seems to be lonely, and a friend can prove to be better. This turns him more confident, and he steps up in the open as he knows that he has friends, Dimple and Reigen, to back him up. Dimple has therefore been a positive impact on Mob.
6) When he teams up with Mob and Teru against the 7th Division
In the first season of Mob Psycho 100, Claw’s 7th division kidnaps Mob’s brother Ritsu. To rescue Ritsu, Mob and Teru go to the Claw’s headquarters, and that’s when Dimple tags along with them.
He also proves to be useful in infiltrating the building as he can move more easily and undetected than boys. He also possesses guards and finds an easy passage in the 7th Divison. Dimple, therefore, was a valuable help in saving Ritsu.
7) When Dimple and Ritsu teams up
Dimple, despite his selfish interests, helped Ritsu. When Ritsu just got to know that he too has Psychic powers and had barely an idea of what they could accomplish, Dimple guided him in controlling and using them.
He also possessed Ritsu at a point in time and saved him from the Claw as well. This also helped Ritsu understand his own abilities, and thus there team-ups have always been useful and fun to watch.
Mob being an introvert, doesn’t have many friends, and thus he receives most of his Life advice from Dimple or Reigen. Just based on advice from those two, he even manages to do his work.
The most comedy part of the series is when Dimple gives Mob advice on relationships and love life. Dimple often suggests comments to girls all around Mob.
The awkward reactions and Mob’s indifference to girls are really fun to watch. Dimple has transformed Mob’s life for good, and we appreciate it.
9) When Dimple attempts to take down Shibata
In his fight with Shibata from the Claw, Mob is knocked unconscious. Shibata is determined to take Mob away, but to save him, Dimple possesses him and helps him to escape from Shibata.
Dimple alone stands no chance of defeating Shibata, a huge giant and a part of Ultimate 5 but still holds his ground to save Mob. It won’t be wrong to believe that Dimple cares for the boy and when Shibata finds Mob’s body among the bodies of Improvement Club members, he takes hold of Musashi’s body.
Musashi is strong enough to hold Shibata giving Mob enough time to recover. This efforts of Dimple and taking over such a strong body was not easy and neither a waste as due to it, Mob was able to defeat Shibata for good. Dimple saved the day as, without his efforts, Mob might have died.
In his first meeting with Teruki, Mob threatens him, and as a result, Teruki challenges him to fight a battle to determine who has better Psychic powers. The mob is way stronger than Teruki and is sure to win, but Mob doesn’t want to use his powers against anyone.
At this event, Dimple steps in to help Mob by getting Teruki out of the fight. Actually, he wants no harm to come to Mob as he wishes to possess his body.
This event is iconic as Teruki gets up to his full strength and easily crushes Dimple away as he stands no stand against such a strong opponent. Here the way Dimple steps in to save Mob is sweet as even though he does not consider him as a friend still helps him out.
Dimple is one of the most interesting characters in the series. He can be suspicious, crazy, lovely, comedy, and even brave when needed. Dimple, despite being a villain, makes this show fun to watch.
