At the beginning of Ted Lasso Season 2 Episode 8, viewers find Dr Sharon  getting involved in a minor accident. Under the effect of a concussion, Dr. Sharon ends up sending some very frank voice messages to Ted. They later have a heart-to-heart, with Sharon opening up a bit in front of Ted.

Sam fixes up a blind date with the mysterious woman he has been chatting with and finds that he and Rebecca have been chatting with one another. After their initial award moment is over, they have dinner together and also end up kissing.

Meanwhile, at the Semifinals of the FA Cup, AFC Richmond has to suffer a terrible defeat in the hands of Manchester City. After the defeat of the team, Jamie Tartt’s father comes to meet him. Jamie was previously playing for Manchester City after having deserted AFC Richmond.

Jamie obviously shares quite a troubled relationship with his father, who mocks him about being in a team full of amateurs. His father pushes him to such an extent that Jamie finally punches him on his face. Coach Beard takes his father out while Roy Kent consoles and even hugs Jamie.

Ted gets emotional after his team’s defeat and calls Sharon, the team doctor. He reveals to her that when he was just sixteen years old, his father had killed himself, a fact that still haunts and torments. After making this revelation, he cries hysterically on the phone. Sharon tries to comfort him and says that she will meet him soon.

The American sports comedy television series, Ted Lasso, follows the eponymous football coach who is hired to train a troubled English professional football team, AFC Richmond. Though inexperienced and clueless about English football culture, his sheer optimism makes him quite an effective coach.

Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly have developed the series. The music is by Marcus Mumford and Tom Howe, while the production companies are Universal Television, Warner Bros. Television Studios, Ruby’s Tuna Inc., and Doozer.
