The fifth episode of the show had flashbacks where Jason travels through the transformation into a Red Hood. Scarecrow has a plan to engulf the city of Gotham and then later take control over the city and its people to Jason.
Soon after Donna’s death, we see Jason experiencing some nightmares and seeks Dr. Leslie for treatment of the same.
Scarecrow and Jason try a new drug on a Joker, but this backfires on Jason as the Joker kills him. Later, Scarecrow develops a new drug that will help him take control over Jason in the wake of a Red Hood. But, soon after Joker kills Jason, Scarecrow resurrects him through the Lazarus Pit.
In the midst of Jason’s treatment with Leslie, the former develops a feeling that the Doctor had told Bruce about his fears and with the same feeling that he carries and reveals out all the information he had about the Batman in exchange for help in abstaining from his fear.
Later in the episode, we saw that Jason, who had been transformed as a Red Hood due to the new drug that Scarecrow had prepared, finds a kidnapper, Pate Hawkins, and rescues an orphan in the course. But, as soon as the Red hood drops off that kid, he finds that the kid is none other than Jason himself.
