Further, as the story proceeds, we see that Guy is trying to break the aspects of the programming, which leads to people assuming him to be another player in the NPC’s skin.

While the real-world programmers think that they have achieved the level of artificial intelligence that is doing all these things, what these two programmers have dreamt of.

Slowly and steadily, the Guy now starts to become sentient and begins to feel things that made Millie believe that he can help her find the key’s code of the game within.

As Guy completes one by one under Millie’s guidance to locate the source code, he soon becomes a popular character worldwide; everyone was interested to know who was behind the Guy character.

Keys and Millie soon realize that Guy’s self-awareness comes from the code that contains Millie’s personal preferences included in the Free life code.

That was maybe the reason why Guy was suddenly so attracted towards Millie and wanted to be in a romantic relationship with her.

But Mille tells Guy about what he is? he gets angry and breaks off his relationship with Millie but later on, discussing with Buddy, Guy realizes there is something more than love and attraction between their relationship and decides to help Millie to find the key before the Free City is wiped out by the Soonami servers which will make way for Free City 2.

Guy’s popularity, however, puts pressure on Antwan to delay the launch of Free City 2.

But Antwan wants Keys and Mouser to reboot Guy’s programming. After doing that, when Millie meets Guy in the game next time, she understands that Guy doesn’t remember his prior sentience.

Then Millie kisses Guy and sees all of his prior sentience restored, and Guy can now recall the evidence of the key’s code from his apartment and the location of Island.

To be saved from the data wipe, Guy informs all NPC characters to migrate to the Island to be protected from the data wipe.

Antwan then becomes desperate and tries to delete Guy and Molotov girl from the game, but Keys somehow again interferes and saves them, but it cost his job.

After this failed attempt, Antwan sends Dude the bigger and dumber version of Guy in the game, but Guy can befriend him.

Then the only last stop Anwan had was to delete all the game servers, but by that time, Guy, along with other NPC, manages to migrate to Island to be saved from the server destroy. Everyone from the world witnessed this event.

In the end, Millie was able to convince Antwan to turn the Free City code and its intellectual property to Keys. Keys, Mouser and Millie now start a new company, and with the recovered code, they release their original game Free Life.

The game becomes super hit, and they also migrate Guy, Buddy, and the other Free City NPCs into the Free Life game. Later on, Millie learns that Key’s code on which Guy was based was a love letter to her; that’s why Guy was so much into her.

On the other hand, without the support of Key’s code, Antwan’s Free City 2 becomes a flop and gets tangled with various other media controversies.
