Last Updated on August 10, 2021 by Joydeep Ghosh

Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 8 is due next week. The 7th season of the show has portrayed the show’s affinity towards ridiculous humor and passion towards all kinds of things like pop culture, anime, and even gangster movies.

It also showcased Rick’s obsession with the mechanical robot parts, which could all combine together to form a massive mecha robot named Gotron. Ricks brings in alternate versions of his family members to help him run and function the massive mecha robot operation where Summer will be serving as his assistant.

We see Rick and Summer slowly growing in power and influence. As they grow, even more, we notice that the feelings of their family members slowly blind them. These emotions were portrayed in the crime movies, which were common in the 80s, focusing on mafia and gangsters.

This episode was titled Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion. In this we Rick, Summer, and Morty are advancing towards the Boob World. On the way, Rick encounters a mecha robot, Gotron Ferret, which resembled the ones commonly found in mecha anime. Rick is now bent on collecting all the five Ferrets. Summer agrees to help Rick in this quest, and this is how she earns Rick’s respect.

We see Morty being a bit hesitant about his decision in agreeing to join in. The trio then advances on the quest and gets hold of all the five Ferrets. They put Beth and Jerry in charge of the two Ferrets, and they engage in a fight with a massive monster from space.

Morty is not supportive of this idea that Rick puts forward. The other family members support Rick’s decision, and within no time, we see everything happening very smoothly. The entire is now running a massive operation where Summer is now the right hand of Rick. Morty has currently been replaced due to his refusal to be a part of this decision.

Morty is currently the Head of Security at their family’s nightclub. The original pilots of the GotronFerrets return and abduct Morty. They try to bribe him so that they could turn him against his family.

On refusing to do so, they try to kill him, but luckily he escapes from the scene, and hence he is saved. Morty comes back to the party and finds Hothead Rick over there making an attack on the nightclub.

If the fans can recall, then they will remember that in the finale of the previous season, Rick had tried his best to restore Birdperson, who is also known as Phoenixperson.

However, all of Rick’s attempts went to waste as he was not able to restore him. Birdperson has been one of the closest friends Rick, and if he returns, it could set the perfect emotional tone of the episode.
