What To Expect From Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 2?

In season 1, He-man was not portrayed as the protagonist; instead, Teela was the protagonist. However, the fans of He-man, both the kids as well as the adult fans, who grew up playing with Mattel’s series of toys, have been complaining about the lesser footage given to He-man. Fans of He-man have also complained that the promo of Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 1 contained maximum visuals from episode 1, which misled them into believing that He-man was going to be the protagonist of the show.

However, on the other hand, the spotlight shifting to Teela may signify that the universe does not always need a “He-man” to save it. So, the introduction of Teela as a strong female character can bring a different angle to the age-old series.

In Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 2, the fans would expect He-man to return from the dead and be given more screen space as well. The bottom line is that the fans of He-man wish to see more of him in Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 2, and they definitely will not let him die. So, whether Prince Adam will be returning from the dead yet again in Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 2 is something that all the fans are curious about.

A Recap of He-man and the Masters of the Universe and Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 1.

Developed by Kevin Smith, Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 2 is a sequel to the early 1980s Filmation animation series, “He-man and the Masters of the Universe.” Though the Masters of the Universe: Revelation has a self-contained story, here is a quick recap of He-man and the Masters of the Universe.

The He-Man series was meant for and was very popular with the kids in the 1980s, while Masters of the Universe: Revelation feels like an adult continuation of the series. He-man and the Masters of the Universe centered around the gentle Prince Adam of Eternia, son of King Randor and Queen Malena. Only a selected few knew that Adam’s alter ego was He-man, the most powerful man in the universe. With the help of the Sword of the Gray Skull, Adam transformed into He-man, and his timid pet tiger transformed into the ferocious Battlecat.

In each episode of He-man and the Masters of the Universe, He-man fought the evil Skeletor, who kept on trying to capture Eternia and discover the secrets of Gray Skull, the mysterious cave castle where He-man had found the Sword of Power.

In Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 1, He-man sacrificed his life to save the universe in the first episode. Evil Skeletor, too, perished in the battle between them. Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 1 follows Teela, who is the surrogate daughter of the loyal soldier of Eternia, Man-At-Arms, and also the former captain of the Royal Guard of Eternia. She is also the love interest of He-man.

A few years ahead of the intense battle between He-man and Skeletor, the magic of Eternia is leaking away due to the massive crack made on it. It is now upon Teela, who had since then become a mercenary, to save the universe by reforging the Sword of Power. For this, the Sorceress tells Teela and her companions that they have to travel beyond Eternia to the hellish Subternia and to the paradise of Preternia to find the two blades that, if joined together, would make the Sword of Gray Skull.

In this pursuit, they have to face evil Scare Grow, whom they are able to defeat at the cost of Orko, who has to sacrifice his life. Meanwhile, the life of Prince Adam is restored at the Gate of Preternia, and Adam joins Teela’s team after agreeing to leave Preternia forever.

The gate of the Hall of Wisdom opens to them, and they fight their way into it, where Adam calls upon the Power of Gray Skull with the help of the Restored Sword of Power. As the magical powers of Eternia get restored, the Sorceress of Gray Skull, too, returns. The garden in the heart of the Hall of Wisdom and the castle, Gray Skull, around it are also restored. Tri-Klops and his minions who had captured the Hall of Wisdom have to flee.

Just as Prince Adam is about to complete the incantation process to transform himself into He-man, a dark power begins to flow out of Evil-Lyn’s wand. Skeletor appears out of it, stabs Adam through the chest with his Havoc Staff, and grabs the Sword of Power. While Teela is seen tending the lifeless body of He-man, Skeletor calls upon the power of Gray Skull with the Sword of Power in the same way Adam did to transform himself into He-man.

The power of Gray Skull surged forward in the form of a pillar of light, and Skeletor appears out of it wearing a new suit of armor. Having acquired the Power of Gray Sull, Skeletor declares himself the Master of the Universe as Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 1 ends.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation is an American superhero fantasy animation series produced by Powerhouse Animation Studio.
