Love Is Blind Season 2: When Will The Season 2 Arrive?

Last updated:

Love Is Blind Season 2 has long been awaited by fans worldwide. Its season 1 was quite popular, with it drawing 30 million viewers in the first couple of months itself. Love Is Blind is a dating-based reality show created by Chris Coelen.

The series follows thirty single men and women who go through speed dating for about ten days without actually seeing one another. They interact on their pods and get to meet partners only after they zero down on one of them.

The concept of Love Is Blind is quite a wild one. Someone proposing to a person they have never seen before is the craziest thing to do. Some of the couples who participated in Love Is Blind Season 1 agreed to get engaged only after one another for two weeks.

Of the two weeks, the first ten days were spent entirely in different rooms, with the couples not even being able to see one another. The couples got only after ten days.

After the ten days, high drama followed with participants introducing their partners to their families, beginning of wedding celebrations, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and finally, the weddings.

When is Love Is Blind Season 2 Going To Release?

Love Is Blind Season 1 first aired on February 13, 2020, on Netflix. After eleven episodes of 49 to 85 minutes of duration, it ended on March 5, 2020, with the reunion episode. On March 24, 2020, Netflix announced that Love Is Blind Season 2, as well as season 3, have been planned.

The casting process for Love Is Blind Season 2 began in March 2020, but shooting could not start due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In all probability, the shooting of Love Is Blind Season 2 is likely to be over by now.

If that is so, we can expect to hear the announcement of the release of Love Is Blind Season 2 anytime soon in 2021 itself.

Before the launch of Love Is Blind Season 2, the viewers will be treated to a mini-series, “Love Is Blind: After the Alter,” which will be premiered on July 28, 2021. This reunion series will feature the present lives of some of the cast members who married in season 1.

An Update on the Participants of Love Is Blind Season 1.

The conclusion of Love Is Blind Season 1 also marked the end of three weeks of drama, romance, and tears. The viewers waited with bated breath to see if the couples were going to say “I do” or not. Here is an update on the couples who met in season in order to refresh your memory.

Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton were some of the most famous couples of season 1. They said “I do” on the show, and two years later, they are still a very much in love couple. Celebrating their second anniversary was a very emotional moment for them.

As Lauren posted on Instagram, it had been one of the craziest years of their lives, and they came out stronger than ever.

She also said that she is looking forward to 80 more to come, to which Cameron added that they are going to be together for another 100 years.

Presently, they have started their own YouTube series, “Hanging With the Hamiltons,” which they are hosting. They have also written a book, “Leap of Faith,” which covers their dating days.

Amber Pike and Matt Barnett were the second couples to say “I do” in season 1. Both of them had developed cold feet on the wedding day, but that did not stop them from their vows. Two years on, they are still happily married.

On their second anniversary, Matt posted their cute, cuddly photograph on Instagram and said that he hoped to have a million years of togetherness.

In the relationship between Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas, Mark was willing to say “I do,” but Jessica backed out. Both of them have moved on since then and have also confirmed their new relationships on Instagram.

After several allegations of cheating, Mark finally seems to have settled down with his current girlfriend. They celebrated their first anniversary together and also welcomed their son in April. They, too, are running a YouTube channel, “Catching up with The Cuevas.”

Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes, too, appear to be a perfect couple, but Kelly said “No” right at the altar. They later announced that it was all just an experiment, and they never really meant to marry.

They have since moved on, with Kenny recently having announced his engagement. Kelly, too, expressed her excitement over this news, and she is focusing on her career right now.

Giannina Gibelli and Damien Powers seemed to be one of the most magnetic couples in season 1. Viewers expected them to tie the knot, but they ended their relationship on camera. However, soon after the season ended, they started dating again and feel that they are in love with one another, though there is no rush to get married.

Carlton Morton and Diamond Jackson’s breakup was the most tragic, with Carlton revealing that he was bisexual and had been in relationships with several men in the past. Diamond did not take this lying down, and they had explosive fights on camera.

They were not in touch after the show, but they have started speaking again recently, considering that on Love Is Blind Season 2, they might be required to come together and give joint interviews.

In the reunion episode, they confused the viewers, with Carlton getting down on one knee and proposing friendship to Diamond with his original engagement ring. Diamond, too, accepted his apology, but that did not mean much, with both having moved on. Carlton is currently dating his new boyfriend, while Diamond is single.

The cast of Love Is Blind Season 2 and Who Will Host The New Season?

There is a distinct possibility of season 1 hosts, the real-life couple, Vanessa and Nick Lache, rejoining to host ‘Love Is Blind Season 2,’ as well. Both of them are known TV personalities and are very popular.

In Love Is Blind Season 2, the cast members will be the people who are freshly chosen from Chicago, Illinois. The creator of the series, Chriss, has envisioned fifteen to twenty of the series and plans to take it worldwide. Chris Coelen, Sam Dean, Ally Simpson, Eric Detwiler, and Terrance Villarreal have produced the Netflix series.
