Loki Season 2 Is Confirmed after the Cliffhanger Ending Of Season 1

Loki Season 2 has been confirmed in the post-credit scene of the last episode of the first season of the show. We will see Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, and then Tom Hiddleston will again come back as Loki. The events from the show’s first season are totally related to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The second season of the show will get into production from the beginning half of 2022.

Loki Season 2 will officially be happening, as we have noticed an exciting thing in the post-credits scene of the last episode. Disney+ and the Marvel Studios will bring back Tom Hiddleston again as the God of Mischief. However, the news as to when the second season will return has not yet been mentioned.

We could notice a stamp on one of the files of the Time Variance Authority, which was meant for Loki Laufeyson. The stamp on the file read, “Loki will return in Season 2”. The earlier trade reports had also mentioned that Loki Season 2 would begin or rather get into production in the earlier half of 2022.

So we can assume that the show will release either during the latter half of 2022 or the beginning of 2023. The timeline totally depends on how the production proceeds and what Marvel Studios and Disney+ feel about a proper release date.

Loki Season 2 will enter into production stage in Early 2021.

Loki has been officially confirmed for season 2 by MCU as towards the ending credits of episode 6 the below picture was shown which officially confirms that The God of Mischief will going to return in the second season.

Before we get to see the second season of Loki, there are several other shows and movies that Disney+ and Marvel studios have got in a plan for us. Marvel’s What If…? will be releasing on the 11th of August, with several MCU stars returning. We will also see Hawkeye in the latter half of 2021, starring Hailee Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner.

Ms. Marvel will also launch in the latter half of 2021, where Marvel will bring the very first Muslim-Pakistani American superhero, Iman Vellani. She-Hulk will also be seen in 2022, where we will get to see Mark Ruffalo and Tatiana Maslany. Moon Knight and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will all be seen in 2022. So it seems that Marvel Studios have a packed timeline.2

Loki Episode 6 Ending Opens the Plot for Loki Season 2

The events that have been shown in the first season of the show will be linked directly to Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This movie is expected to release in 2022, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Benedict Cumberbatch.

The studio has first used Loki to introduce the concept of Multiverse, and the last episode has actually set the stage for the before-mentioned movie. As the sacred timeline has split up into several branches, we will notice a lot of chaos across the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What Happened in Loki Episode 6?

As per the ending of Loki Episode 6, We witness Loki being sent back to TVA by Sylvie, and then she kills Jonathan Majors(He Who Remains). At the time of dying, He Who Remains says to Sylvie that “you will meet me soon.”

As Loki arrives in TVA tries to find Mobius and tell him what has happened in Citadel. He soon finds him and tells him about all that has happened; we notice that Mobius is not able to recognize Loki now, and as the camera moves, we see a new statue of Jonathan Majors(He Who Remains). This means Loki is in a different timeline of TVA.

That suggests that now the show will be connected with Dr. Strange Multiverse of madness as all the timelines are split now, and nobody is there in Citadel to keep the time branches stable. We think it would cause chaos all over the MCU timelines and will be connected with the movies such as Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

That being said, the villain of the Loki Series is not revealed as well; judging by the conclusion of season 1, we think in season 2 we might witness other evil versions of He Who Remains, or else we might see the actual villain who is the actual one responsible for this.

Season 2 will definitely be going to happen soon and it will be interesting to see how the god of mischief manages to survive in the new TVA timeline; also, what’s next for Sylvie? Where will she go now? and will both Loki and Sylvie meet together in Loki Season 2? Well, to know all that, we would have to wait for season 2 of Loki, which will most probably release in mid-2022.

Upcoming MCU Movies or TV Shows which might be connected to Loki Series Season 1 Ending

This might also explain what we will see in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will release on the 17th of December 2021. The movie will showcase the villains who were there in the older Spider-Man movies. It seems that Doctor Strange will have to fix the entire timeline.

Loki Season 2 will go on production in the first half of 2022 and may arrive before the Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness which is scheduled to release in late 2022.
