The first act of America’s Got Talent Season 16 Episode 6 was a twirl act done by a 30-year-old using three different batons. He received four yes votes, as well as a standing ovation from the judges. The next contestant, Madilyn Bailey, sang a song originally written by her, using the hate comments from her YouTube account as lyrics. All the judges, except Heidi, were impressed. The Stunner performed lite acrobatics and breakdancing, wearing a superhero costume, but could not impress Simon and Howie. He was out of the race with only two votes. Alex Ostrovsky, who played horns on “The Greatest of All” by Whitney Houston, failed to impress Sofia and Heidi with his special effects, and they buzzed him out.
Matt Mauser, a retired teacher, sang his version of “Against All Odds” as a tribute to his late wife, who had died in a helicopter crash. He received four yes votes from the judges. While the four judges unanimously voted the comedian, Chief, out, the comedian, Cam Bertrand, was able to impress them and got four yes votes.

Northwell Nurse Choir is a group of 18 nurses who had worked on the frontline in New York City during the pandemic, with the mission of helping people find their resilience, as well as spreading joy and love. Their singing included elements of beatboxing and lite rap as well.
Simon Cowell awarded the second golden buzzer that sent singer ‘Nightbirde,’ a cancer patient, straight through to the live show round. ‘Nightberde’ performed an original song, “It’s Okay,” which narrated the story of the past year of her eventful life.
