Evil Season 2 Episode 3 Recap:

Before we dive into episode 4, let us brief you a bit of what happened in episode 3. The third episode in the second season is titled “F Is for Fire,” and we have our team investigating the house of Brian and Jane in Castles.

As we speak, Brian (Catholic) and Jane (Muslim) are an interfaith couple, and mysterious fires started occurring in their house. At first, both the parents suspected their daughter Mathilda to be the reason for the fires.
Their inclination towards the theory stems from the fact that Mathilda’s actual mother had a rather strange time with arson. Eventually, after Mathild’s denial, they heard the truth from her that the main culprit is a man having no eyes and fires on his head.

Upon investigation and research, Ben concludes that it’s an afrit or Jinn. As the episode progress, Mathilda is possessed by the Jinn, who then delivers a message in Arabic, “A fire will burn whoever is close and jump to one of you.”

Unbeknownst to Kristen, the Jinn tags along with her, eventually turning her day into a nightmare.

The next day, we see the trio of Kristen, David, and Ben arriving at Castles. A Christian exorcist accompanies them to help Mathilda from her ordeal. However, upon reaching, they discover Jane’s imam is all set to perform a Muslim exorcism on her daughter.

The two leaders of faith got into a heated argument, and despite not wanting to work together, ends up coming on the same page after David’s involvement. As the leaders began their exorcism, the spirit in Mathilda warns Kristen about the consequences.

After hearing Mathilda, a terrified Kristen immediately goes to check on her family. However, strangely, the same teacup set which she threw has returned.

The episode concluded with Kristen losing her consciousness after noticing the Jinn in her property. Meanwhile, Mathilda enjoys yet another fire scene.

What will happen in Evil Season 2 Episode 4?

One of the crucial points of episode 3 is the fact that Sheryl is a highly manipulative woman. She somehow manages to set up an appointment under an alias with Dr. Boggs to get back to good terms with Kristen. She eventually succeeds, but after her identity is revealed, we see her getting on her knees and manipulating Boggs to play along for as long as they can.

Sheryl’s motives are a big question, and we already know that she will play a significant role in this season. Even Evil’s bosses urged fans not to take her lightly.

Apart from that, episode 2 foreshadows Jinn’s influence on Kristen, and some fans already think she is under partial possession. With Jinn now in her backyard, this will get even spookier.

So, in Evil Season 2 Episode 4, we will see how Kristen reacts to the Ifrit Jinn, being closer to her than ever.

Katja Herbers as Dr. Kristen Bouchard, Aasif Mandvi as Ben Shakir, Mike Colter as David Acosta, Christine Lahti as Sheryl Luria, and others will return for Evil Season 2 Episode 4.
