It was first revealed on Reddit Fruits Basket: The Final is now the #1 highest-rated anime of all time on MyAnimeList. That happened due to Fruits Basket Season 3 page updated to 9.18, putting it above Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood at 9.17. So that means it has officially beaten Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and became the highest-rated anime on the planet now.

Those who don’t know about Fruits Basket: The Final show is about high school student Tohru Honda who’s mother passes away due to a car accident. She decides to live with his grandfather for the time being, but the renovation of the house the unsupportive family members cause her to move out of her grandfather’s home. After that, though she was offered by two of her best friends to stay with them, she declined those offers as well and started living in a tent.
Soon she discovers an inhabited home by her classmate Yuki Soma and his cousin Shigure. Thoru also discovers something unusual about Soma’s family; she discovers that Soma’s family curses all the twelve family members except Kyo are possessed by some Chinese zodiac named Junishi. The Chinese zodiac spirit turns them into their zodiac animal spirit whenever they are stressed, embarrassed, or is touched by someone from the opposite gender; upon understanding the power of the curse, she decided that she won’t tell anyone about it unless she is allowed to keep living in with them.
