Trailer Of Ray Released By Netflix-Manoj Bajpayee and Ali Faizal Among the Lead Casts

Netflix has released the trailer of Ray, based on the stories by the genius filmmaker Satyajit Ray. Created by Srijit Mukherjee, Abhishek Choubey, and Vasan Bala, Ray is an anthology of four classic stories by the legend Satyajit Ray. The stories are set in the present times and are retold in a modern way.

The main cast of the series includes Manoj Bajpayee, Ali Fazal, Harshvardhan Kapoor, and Kay Kay Menon. It also has Gajraj Rao, Sweta Basu Prasad, Anindita Bose, Bitida Bagh, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Radika Madana, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor as the supporting cast.

The four stories are named “Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa,” “Forget Me Not,” “Bahrupiya,” and “Spotlight.” As the trailer itself reveals that the stories explore the human emotions of ego, revenge, envy, and betrayal, the viewers are assured of quite a thrilling journey.

Ray Trailer and Release Date Revealed

At the beginning of the trailer, a background voice proclaims that man is also equal to God. Man is also a creator in his own right as it too can create another human being. Then, Ali Fazal’s Ipsit Nair is introduced to the audience as a dynamic entrepreneur who possesses a computer’s memory.

In the following visual, Harshvardhan is seen playing a Bollywood star. He meets a God woman, said to have power beyond logical reasoning, and is awed by her.

The following story has Manoj Bajpayee playing Musafir Ali, a formerly famous ghazal singer who strives to regain his lost popularity.

Finally, in the last story, we get to see a character, played by Kay Kay Menon, who, not satisfied with his stable job, wishes to produce a different art as a makeup artist.

Throughout the series, the viewers will be able to watch the journeys of these multi-shaded characters.

The creators Srijit Mukherjee, Abhishek Choubey, and Vasan Bala are huge fans of Satyajit Ray. They are very excited to be retelling the stories of the legend and working with such talented actors. This is a modern retelling of the four classics in a darker space.
