The finale episode of Pose Season 3, titled “Series finale,” is a blend of sheer joy and heartbreak. At the beginning of the episode, Pray Tell, played by Billy Porter, gets admitted to the hospital after suffering from severe pneumonia.

Pray is convinced that he is about to die. But then he and Blanca, played by Mj Rodriguez, are included in the clinical trial for a new cocktail of AIDS drugs taking place in the hospital. The medicine starts working wonders on Pray. However, when he meets Ricky (played by Dyllón Burnside) again and finds that Ricky’s condition worsens, he secretly gives his AIDS trial drugs to Ricky. After committing this act of ultimate sacrifice, Pray dies.

His friends give him a befitting tribute by distributing lockets and sprinkling his ashes in the Mayor’s lawn. Blanca takes up nursing as a full-time profession, while Angel and Papi are successful models.

Speculations about Season 4

Amidst the speculations of a season 4 in the pipeline, the co-creators Ryan Murphy and Steven Canals addressed the media. They said they had a very specific ending in mind, and the finale was exactly what they always planned.

They didn’t just want to create a narrative just for the sake of it and with no real purpose.
