Reminiscence was initially scheduled to be released in theatres on April 16, 2021. However, Warner Bros. had to delay the release schedule to September 3, 2021, due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Then, it was again changed to August 27, 2021, to avoid a clash of date with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings by Marvel Studios. In the end, Warner Bros. decided to shift the date one more time to August 20, 2021. Similar to all the other 2021 theatrical releases of Warner Bros., Reminiscence will be aired on HBO Max for 31 days, along with the theatres on the same date.
