Reminiscence Trailer Showcases Hugh Jackman and the Sci-Fi Touch To The Movie

Reminiscence Trailer, starring Hugh Jackman, has been released by Warner Bros. on June 6. The mind-boggling trailer has filled Hugh Jackman and the viewers with nostalgia. The co-creator of HBO’s Westworld, Lisa Joy, is the director, co-producer, and writer of the movie. This science-fiction thriller drama movie marks the debut of Lisa Joy as a director. Reminiscence Trailer shows Hugh Jackman in the character of a private investigator named Nick Bannister. Nick Bannister uses advanced technology to help his clients access their lost memories. Starring Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, Cliff Curtis, Daniel Wu, and Thandiwe Newton, the upcoming American movie is set to release in 2021.

Reminiscence Trailer unveils that the film is set in a futuristic world. It shows the world’s future due to increased global warming, leaving the coast of Miami almost entirely underwater. The movie also has stars like Nico Parker, Natalie Martinez, Brett Cullen, Mojean Aria, Angela Sarafyan, and Marina de Tavira.

Expected Plot of Reminiscence

In Reminiscence Trailer, Hugh Jackman’s character Nick Bannister narrates that a war breaks out as the water level rises and the world starts getting flooded. When the conditions make people have nothing to look forward to, people start resorting to their memories. He says that the entire population has become addicted to the past and made nostalgia a way of life. The world has become such a dreadful place to live in that the people prefer to live in the past.

Reminiscence Trailer also introduces Rebecca Ferguson portraying the character of Mae. Mae appears as a mysterious client of Nick Bannister, who disappears suddenly. This leads Nick to uncover the dangerous and violent truth about her disappearance and her past. In addition, the trailer talks about the characteristics of memory, technology, and identity, hinting towards a similar theme as Westworld. Daniel Wu, Cliff Curtis, and Thandiwe Newton also play significant roles in the movie. Thandiwe Newton portrays the character of Nick Bannister’s associate.


The team of Reminiscence has released an official plot of the movie. It mentions Hugh Jackman’s character, Nick Bannister as a private investigator who uses futuristic technology to make his clients access their lost memories. As the Miami coast had sunk underwater, the entire population is forced to live on its edges. When a mysterious new client named Mae enters his life and then suddenly disappears, Nick’s whole life changes.

He becomes dangerously obsessed with getting to the root of the matter and finding the absolute truth behind her disappearance. In this course, he uncovers a dangerous conspiracy. Viewers will also get to see how far he would go to save his loved ones.

Release date of Reminiscence.

Reminiscence was initially scheduled to be released in theatres on April 16, 2021. However, Warner Bros. had to delay the release schedule to September 3, 2021, due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Then, it was again changed to August 27, 2021, to avoid a clash of date with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings by Marvel Studios. In the end, Warner Bros. decided to shift the date one more time to August 20, 2021. Similar to all the other 2021 theatrical releases of Warner Bros., Reminiscence will be aired on HBO Max for 31 days, along with the theatres on the same date.
